Excellent book with extensive research
Great book with extensive vocabulary - it seems unnecessary at times, though.

gret Read
this is a great read for anyone who is curious about the politics behind the development of the A and H bob. It also somewhat crystilizes our relationship with Great Britan

A good read but make sure you're not looking for political intrigues
This is a really interesting read that reveals a lot of surprising information that is definitely not known to the general public, and the author does a great job in fleshing out all of the back-stories regarding each character involved in the time-line.However it is that very 'context-heavy' writing style that bogs the book down and makes it somewhat of a chore, I often didn't know who was whom or what their relation to the next man was - there are literally dozens of similar scientists with very few distinguishing job-titles and having them referred to just by surname multiple times per chapter doesn't really establish their role.I would definitely recommend this book, but it's purely for those interested in the subject matter, you won't find it a titilating political account of history within these pages.

Unknown history
A great, well written book that shows the missed "opportunity" of the UK's science community

Good Cold War history.
Interesting and well written. Not much on the actual work of the British physicists though, not much detail I mean. I still enjoyed it though.
