This thing really works for "interrupting" a dog when it's barking, whining, or doing something else undesirable. We have a new puppy and he was whining which woke us up at 5 or 6am. We used this device and he immediately stops what he's doing and looks for the source of the sound he heard. Using it over the course of a few weeks, it's really deterred this behavior. We also use it for our other dog who barks at squirrels, and it has the same effect. He stops barking and looks for the source of the sound. I can tell that the sound does not hurt their ears, it just serves as a distraction from what they are doing and gets their attention. I would definitely recommend this for anyone else who is trying to train a dog or puppy to stop doing something like barking or whining.

Light was bright and the alarm loud but the dog next door (and other dogs I tried) simply ignored the silent whistle part of the product. My cats, however, hated it. I bought it to try to keep my cats safe should the dog next door get out and jump our fence.I did return. Amazon gave a prompt refund.

Not as good as I expected tried it on my dog before I blasted it at the annoying neighbour's dogs, his ears twitched then he went back to sleep.

I love this! Two "puppies" that are now eight months old and are nearly 50 and 60 pounds each. This keeps them from jumping up on me, I rarely need it anymore because when I go into the yard they know if they jump they will hear that alarm. I can also use it from indoors when they are barking at the neighbors and it stops that too. It is small enough to put into your pocket. I recommend it.

This product did NOT work at all. With brand NEW name brand batteries this had absolutely no effect on a barking dog 3 feet away. Very low quality material cheaply made. Would never buy this product and am going to return for a full refund. I'm surprised Amazon would carry such a low quality product of zero value. Very disappointed in this product. Do not buy this product.

I have 2 dogs (9 months old) and one hears it and stops barking and the other one ignores it.I've had this for over a month now and neither dog is phased by it. Flashlight is nice.

I have a small beast. From what I am reading, it seems that small dogs don't respond to the ultrasound.

Nothing would keep my toy bichpoo from barking at anything and everything. Very annoying. Until this Apesto product. Now I barely tap the Ultra button and say shush quiet and he stops. By full Bichon doesn't seem as affected. But the toy is much quieter and we are much happier. Great product.
