This item provides a cleaner look to the numerous cords and cables that lead up to the tv hanging on the bedroom wall. We also use them for the lamp cords on the tables sitting out in the middle of the greatroom room. The fabric seems to work in our log house and the brownstone in the city. I recommend you use them in any room.

It's ok

This is just as advertised. Good solution for minimizing the visual effect of a cord that can't be attached to the wall or hidden behind a molding. The cover does slide down my cord a little, so I topped it with a white rubber band to hold it in place.

Hides cords from our little dog who likes to chew.

There is no way to put this on. It's just a tube, with elastic on each end. There is no side opening, so you must call an electrician to remove your chandelier from the cord that's running through the chain, and slide it on. Then, to clean it, call the electrician again to remove it. What could this possibly be used for? Nothing electric, that's for sure, it would just cover an empty chain without an electric wire running through it. Why would I need to cover a chain-the part that looks bad is the electric cord that's woven through the chain. Huge disappointment.

it covered my tv cord so now it blends into the wall better/looks cuter. the fabric is velvet

I thought this would be nice thick matte velvet ~ alas, it was some flimsy material and shiny and very cheap looking.

I thought it would be velcro so you can wrap around the chain but no you have to slide the chain through it? I'm not taking my chandelier off to get this on, and if you put this on before you put your chandelier up youd have to cut it off. Not what I was looking for :/
