is there a film that needs to be removed to stick this magnet strip to wood?

There is a white backing paper which need to be removed. But no film or anything. Please remember when sticking the tape to a not totally flat surface it need to bond longer, please press it for several minutes either by hand or use something heavy to apply pressure.

What is the Gauss Strength of the magnet?

The tape has a Gauss Strength from around 600 Gs. It is not suitable for vacuum robots because they require a wider tape ( 1" ) !
