Simple, fun and easy to fly.
This is a really nice little drone that is good value for money and easy to fly. My 9 year old son has loved it and flys inside and out . Also really impressed with the excellent customer service - we had an issue with a motor and they were very helpful sending a replacement without question. Highly recommended.

Good little drone for the price, but could be improved.
The package contains:2 × Batteries1 × Controller1 × Drone4 × Replacement rotors2 × USB mini charging cable4 × Rotor guards1 × Instruction Booklet1 × Mini Screwdriver1 × Controller Phlne StandPros:• Batteries come with a small amount of charge in them, making initial tests convenient.• Really easy to set up for first flight.• Instructions are clear and simple.• Safety guatds for the rotor blades to prevent damage to rotors during a crash.• The 720p full HD camera is surprisingly clear for the size of the drone.• Short tutorial video provided on the app to teach you how to use the main features.• Phone stand connected to the controller is very useful, and convenient that it can be removed.• Plenty of replacement rotors come with the drone which is great.• The rotors are rather resilient, and can withstand a decent amount of knocks.• Calibration process works well the majority of the time.• The drone has a decent amount of features, such as the follow mode and flip/spin setting, although not all of them are that useful, its still a nice option to have them.• Three variable speed settings means that as you get more comfortable flying the drone you can go faster.Cons:• Battery life is not great, roughly 15 mins of flight time each battery compare to around an hour of charging. This will then also decrease if the camera is also being used while flying the drone.• Needs a large open space with little wind and no rain to get the full potential which, which is hard to find in the UK.• The camera is fine for the price, but don't expect to be doing 4k cinematic shots with it.• The trimming feature to prevent drift does not work very well. Every time I tried to use it the drone began to drift in a different direction. This makes the drone difficult to control sometimes, which can lead to accidents if flying near other peoples houses or roads.• The drone is effected quite badly by wind, making it difficult to fly forwards. This likely due to the lightness of the drone.• It was rater annoying that teapp that I downloaded for my previous drone, the Deerc D10, would not work for this drone. It would make mor sense to have one centralised app that all the Deerc Drones could connect to, this would reduce the amount of maintenance needed for each drone app. The correct app may be downloaded using the QR code in the instructions manual. Many people seem to have had issues with the Deerc app that must be downloaded to use the drone camera while flying. It should be noted that you must connect to the drones WiFi signal to use the app. When connected to the drones WiFi, the app works just as it should.Would be better having a USB type C charging port for faster charging, but this isn't a huge issue.TL/DRThis is my third Deerc drone now, and I'm finding it a very decent little drone for the price range. This drone is perfect for someone that has a passing interest in drones and aerial RC toys, as it does not take long to get used to and is very responsive and sophisticated for its price. I would say this is slightly more advanced in stature than a basic toy drone, and therefore it would probably be best suited for a person that is not a novice, but still just starting out using drones. You must make sure to read the instructions fully before flying as you may otherwise damage the drone.

Needs a light touch.
The order arrived the next day even though I didn't pay extra for that nor do I have a PRIME account.Packaging was up to the job and the small amount of empty space in the outer box was filled reducing the likely hood of damage occurring in transit.Setting up the drone and connecting it to it to the control unit was easy enough, although removing the small blanking piece where your phone holder goes is a bit of a pain. I eventually used a pair of pliers but was careful not to squeeze too hard. An app is available to download from Google to enable the drone to share pictures or video with your phone. Four propeller guards require fitting to the drone, they will come loose if you have too hard a crash with the drone. The only other fitting required is the batteries for the drone and the controller unit. The drone is very responsive to the controls and it only takes a light touch on the joysticks to change its flight path. Practising controlling the drone inside with a soft landing surface is recommended before you even think of taking it outside, although I think that it is best used inside primarily. The product consists of the drone itselfTwo rechargeable batteries for the droneTwo charging cables, these plug into a computer USB port and are not suitable to be plugged into a wall socket.Four propeller guards, these are loose and require fitting to the drone.Four extra propellersA controller unit, this takes three AAA batteries, not suppliedPhone holder unit which attaches to the controller unit.A very small screwdriver to replace propellersOverall it's not too bad a unit but seems relatively fragile and as such, it is unlikely to survive a great number of heavy crashes. Not sure it would be suitable for young children, you need a certain level of control and a light touch. Despite these concerns, it is fun to play around with but best used inside the house or in a enclosed garden.

FIRST CLASS DRONE
Nice and sturdy, the prop guards really do their stuff :-) Very easy to use, connects to my iPhone immediately and considering the 720p of the camera the vids are very usable.Normally I have found it easy to control although it does take a fair amount of 'trimming' to get it to hover almost on the spot on occasion and it does not remember the last setting so you have to do this every time.On a couple of occasions on takeoff it has done it's own thing and I've had to shut it down before it did any damage as it would not respond to commands, both times indoors.I have tried it out doors on a very still day and it was fine but it did drift a fair bit, perhaps upping the speed might of helped. Overall very good value for money but I really think it's an indoor drone and only for outside on really windless days.UPDATE : (18/8/21) Despite having had no crashes with the drone over the past few days it's ability to hover has deteriorated to the point of being non existent! It needs to be flown from the get go, it's a real pain as the first thing it does is whiz back toward me on take off and it wanders all over the 'sky' as well. I've tried trimming till I'm blue in the face to not avail. Pity, but onto the shelf on never being used again goes it. Reduced to two stars and really it should be one.
