Matching pair of pillows from a great linen fabric by Rose Tarlow for Scalamandre and called Aida. Each cushion measures 17.5"h x 19"w, a nice size for just about anywhere. What a lovely fabric this is - printed in washy shades of red which I am calling "Swedish outbuilding" red - a soft and mellow medium red with no blue undertones, along with light beige. More than 10 years ago(!!), I made roller blinds for my mother's kitchen windows in this fabric (indigo colorway), and this fabric still looks as fresh and current as it did back then - a testament to the brilliance of Rose Tarlow, and also maybe the good taste of my mother. :-) Fronts are lined for extra durability, and cuttings are available for color. Trimmed with a braided jute cord, and backed with a heavy Belgian linen in the beige shade from Nancy Corzine. Filled with a lightweight down blend insert, and all materials are new and from a smoke-free environment.
