Krane AMG AMG500 Convertible Platform/Dolly/Tilt Cart with 500 lb Capacity

I've owned this dolly for three years now and I've never regretted the purchase. Nothing's perfect and this is no exception, but it's so versatile, robust and functional, it's very few flaws are completely overshadowed.I've used it extensively in all of its configurations, but the supported 45 degree handtruck is my goto for most heavy loads. Anytime I have to move a load that weighs more than 50lbs further than 20ft, I use this tool and it's always worked exactly like it's supposed to and never let me down.The best features are the folded compactness, convertibility and the 2-way locking front wheels. The greatest flaws are the free-play in the rear wheels and pivot point of the rear handle. The play or slack isn't terrible but, the dolly's design is so otherwise good, that you notice the incongruity. The handle is designed to snap into place in three positions using an interlocking pivot, but the fitment tolerance isn't well machined and the result is a slight amount of movement regardless of how much you tighten the locking knobs. The wheels fit on an axle and are retained by an end screw and washer, but it's not a press fitment so the wheels have a little wobble that can't be removed without modifying the design. Neither flaw has affected the utility of the dolly and are really only annoying to someone who's really conscious of fit and finish.If I were to lose mine, I'd replace it immediately without a second thought and that's the strongest endorsement I can offer for any product.

Need this for craft shows. After putting together however I was going to return. Wheels squeaked and groaned when I moved cart, especially when turning. Junk. I can’t use this. Problem- front casters bone dry, no lube in axel. Is this the way the wheels are supposed to work? I don’t know, the directions don’t say. So I put some bike grease in axel and on bearings and did larger wheels while I was at it. Now cart rolls smooth, quiet no wobble. Nice.Mfg note, a little tube of grease would be helpful. (You included a wrench for goodness sake).Likes. Well made. Rolls smooth. The tilt mode is a huge benefit for carrying large top heavy objects. Reason I chose over rock n rollDislikes. A little pricy. Don’t like the strap that you need to hold base flat or put in upright mode (you unbuckle if you want to use in tilt mode). Wish the cart was about 2 inches longer. Would have liked a wider front caster to move over grass. Would have been nice if the carpet insert was included, though I am not sure the mfg carpet insert would work as well as a plywood base for heavier objects.

Upon receiving the cart, it was assembled incorrectly (the strap should go under the pipe in photo) I reassembled myself. I used the cart for the first time today and it broke (wire pulled from handle housing) and as I was taking a closer look I found rust on one of the welds as the coating was pealing off. I DM’ed their Instagram and was told to email them (no reply after a week) another DM and was told to **BUY a spare part to fix the broken wire and told “just hit that rust with a little paint” to seal it. Blew my mind. Giving it one star because I have to give it a star to leave a review.Also the wheels feel lose on the main axle but everybody seems to say that.

Solid Cart/HandTruck/Dolly. Easily rolls. big Wheels is great for terrain, although i haven't tried it out in the desert or mud yet. But have had experience with a foldable dolly with smaller wheels and it made it through mud/dirt fine. A bit pricey but good solid investment. I hope it lasts a long time.Added some grease to the axle and moving parts before assembly. regular high temp. red auto grease.Will be using this cart/dolly to haul silhouette steel targets too and from, Target stands...etc...so the 500lb limit is great!

The unit is great except for the cheap plastic pedal style wheel locks which are already broken and unusable, rendering the unit unsafe as well. Otherwise it’s the best hand-truck/cart I’ve ever owned. I can fit almost everything in one trip out of the truck…Unfortunately the unit was taken out of service until after the holidays and I get some time to find a remedy, meanwhile it’s back to using my old handtruck, a Rock-n-Roller which served me well but was too small, glad I didn’t get rid of it yet…
