I used this book for one of classes in my Masters program for teaching adults. This author is well-known and has written and collaborated with others, so she is very credible. Nice book for online teachers
As a non-formal educator it was easy to embrace the concepts of this book. The strategies allow an educator to consider what the most effective method of teaching in a virtual space can be for your topic. Highly recommend to anyone that works with others over distance or teaches online courses.

You could do it yourself
I study instructional design and technology and this book was very instructive. At times a bit repetitive and ambiguous, but if you wanted to start your own online course this is basically a manual.
