Is it really cashmere?

I personally don’t believe this is pure cashmere. However, it is a very nice material and has held up well. I would purchase it again and agin.

How about the fabric of this shawl?

I don't know, but it looks good,Weave is very dense, feels soft and warm, I gave it to my best friend as a birthday present.

What does the label say?

Nothing. No label. Smaller than expected. It is a neck scarf not a body wrap.

How warm is this shawl? Will it stand up to a cold Maine winter?

I gave mine to my sister-in-law who loved it. The scarf/shawl is thin enough for a summer evening wrap. But my sis wears hers, folded many times, as a winter scarf. She loves the feel of the wool! But I have no experience with Maine winters. Best of luck.
