Any good for picking up cigarette ends?

I would say yes, I fact this tool has been a life saver for me whilst recovering from an operation and unable to bend below knee level. I have pulled weeds from the garden, held a sponge to wash my feet, helped me to get dressed, picked up countless items large and small from the floor and the icing on the cake was catching a live mouse with it when my cat let one go in my living room a couple of days ago. Hi it’s 75cm. I bought mine because I had a knee replacement and it was handy for picking things up while I couldn’t bend down. However it is a very useful tool to use in the garden for picking up leaves etc to save you stretching too much.

Does anyone know if this would pick up a phone dropped down a lift shaft. It's long enough but not sure about the strength of the grip with a phone.

I think it should be strong enough. I have picked my phone up from the floor easily, the only thing I have not managed to pick up with it was a very large bottle of shampoo and that was very heavy. I even caught a live mouse with mine !,
