Small and Mighty this speaker just keeps going and going and going!
I have been looking for a compact speaker that I could take to the lake or out to the yard while working in the garden and enjoy both music and Audio books. The MIFA M1 is an amazingly small speaker with an amazingly large sound. The compact size makes it super easy to toss in a bag or purse and take wherever you go. This speaker is about as wide and tall as a US Dollar bill and about ¾ as long. (See the attached pictures.)I have heard other portable speakers before but they either sound too ‘Tinny’, had a short battery life, cost a small fortune or you had to keep your music device plugged in which was not always convenient. I was impressed that the sound stayed crisp over a wide volume range although I have not yet tried to max it out in consideration of the neighbors. The versatility is also a huge bonus. I really enjoyed being able to stream music from my phone, insert a micro SD card with my favorite albums or connect to my computer to listen to the latest audio book on my summer playlist.Today I was really giving it a work out to see how long it would last. After over 8 hours of continuous use connected via Bluetooth the MIFA was still going strong. I wish I could say the same for my phone. I was also able to get about 20 feet away while using Bluetooth before the sound quality degraded and around 28 feet before it was completely garbled. I was able to purchase this speaker at a reduced price in exchange for my honest opinion, and my honest opinion is that this is one of the best portable speakers available!

Big (Sound) in (a) Small (Box)
The first thing I noticed about this Mifa Bluetooth speaker were the words “Big in Small.” The product is manufactured in China – and while something may have gotten lost in translation – the phrase still managed to communicate the idea: Big sound in a small box. Nevertheless, my first reaction was “Hmmm. . . . yes, it DEFINITELY looks pretty small. Let’s see what kind of sound I can expect to get out of it.” (Attached photo shows relative size.)I already own another Bluetooth speaker, made by Bose – and its sound is really incomparable – but I wanted yet another speaker to use at my office. I just didn’t feel like shelling out another $130 for the privilege. As I was given the opportunity to review this speaker at a discount, I figured my risk was small if it didn’t work out.In just a few words: I’m impressed. For what is basically a tiny stereo speaker, this definitely amplified the volume of all the devices I chose to test it against. I own a variety of Apple products and it connected to each one seamlessly. It comes with a yellow USB cable/data cable. I liked that because it makes it easy to differentiate from the myriad of other micro-USB cables I have for other devices. This enables charging and data transfer to a Micro SD card. So far, I haven’t tried to play music off a USB card, because this wasn’t my main reason for getting this speaker. I may attempt it later, but have no doubt it will work. I believe the maximum capacity for a Micro USB in this device is given as 32 GB.Instructions are in both English and Chinese. The English instructions are clear enough, but most of it will probably be intuitive. Just in case it is helpful, here is what I found on reviewing the Mifa M1:There are four buttons on the surface of the speaker. Each has a short press and long press mode.• The one marked with a plus allows you to skip to the next song on a short press; you hold it down to increase the volume.• By contrast, the button marked with a minus skips to the previous song on a short press and will decrease the volume when holding the button down.• The power button is marked with a familiar power symbol and the letter “M.” If you hold it down for 2 seconds it will power on or off. Short presses will shift functions – namely between Bluetooth mode, SD mode, and the USB mode that connects to your computer.• A button displaying the Bluetooth symbol (and play/pause symbol) operates the play/pause functions on a short press. Hold it down and it will disconnect. Give it a short press yet again and it will connect to your last device. If you connect the Mifa to your phone you can also do hands-free calling. There is a built in microphone in the speaker as well. Give the Bluetooth button a short press to answer a call or to hang up. If you want to reject a call, hold it down. The bottom line is that if you want to get a Bluetooth speaker with a broad range of treble and base – you will likely have to pay more, maybe even three times the cost, as I did for another brand. But if you want a portable speaker that is great for travel, has a nice output, and doesn’t take a big bite out of your wallet, this is actually a pretty good deal.

High Quality speakers, definitely worth it.
Design: I was a little surprised by its relatively small size compared to other bluetooth speakers but it worked better than any of the others I tried. However, I wish they offered multiple color options rather than just black.Sound: Despite its compact sound this speaker has AMAZING bass and clear high tones. When I put it on a desk with maximum volume, I could feel the desk moving because of the bass. Also, I assumed that putting this speaker on max volume would lower the sound quality but I was proven wrong. Even at max volume the sound quality is as clear as it can get.Practicality: Speaker works very well for everyday use at home, although I'm sure it can be easily carried around due to its small size. It is simple to connect, just turn on bluetooth on your phone then turn on the speaker. Select mifa from bluetooth search and you should be connected right away.Battery Life: Product came fully charged with a yellow cable. Haven't had any problems so far regarding battery life.At ALL aspects, I highly recommend these speakers.I received this product at a discount in exchange of this unbiased review.
