CALM NITE Mattress Pad Protector - Waterproof Cover, Vinyl Free Topper - Machine Washable… (Twin 39 x 75)

Ok so I just bought 2 brand new twin memory foam mattresses for my daughters (6.5 yr old and 20 month old) and needed something that would protect them as my toddler is of course still in diapers and my 6.5yr old still has night accidents. I've bought mattress protectors before from walmart and for lack of better words they SUCKED, hence why we just replaced old mattresses. I read tons of reviews on this brand and decided to give them a try. Well last night it was put to the test as my 6.5yr old had an accident which soaked her clothes and all the bedding. I'm ecstatic to report my mattress was dry and clean as a whistle, not even a scent of pee! I would recommend this protector a million times over and plan on buying more when we replace the rest of the mattresses and when its time to get my son his big boy bed (he's only 8 months old right now)

I will not buy a mattress protector again unless it is from Calm Nite. Wow. Background: 4 year old has occasional night accidents and it's no longer the cute I have a slight dampness, it's like someone took a hose and let it run all night kind of soak. I purchased this mattress protector because of the reviews and I was overprotective of my child's brand new pee-free mattress. After two weeks of use, we had an accident. I was devastated. I took the soaking wet sheets off and took off this mattress protector and what do I find? A dry mattress that just needed a light Lysol spray to get rid of any urine smell that may have been absorbed. Wow. Put it is the washer and followed manufactures directions for drying and it was incredible. As a parent, when something makes your life easier, it is a keeper for life. 5/5 would recommend to ALL!

I purchased this item for my son's bed and the first time he peed in the night it went straight through the mattress protector. Not sure if i just have a defective one or what. Definitely didnt stop any fluids.

I purchased this mattress cover to protect my futon from my cat's "accidents." She has separation anxiety & tends to pee on the couch whenever we leave (or she USED to, but we've managed to fix this issue, luckily!) & anyone with cats knows their pee is the absolute worst thing to get on your carpets or furniture bc the odor never goes away. Even with professional cleaning, we still had to buy a new mattress, not once but twice! We finally got this mattress cover to protect our (third!) futon mattress & so far it's been... Just okay. It fits perfectly, so that's a good thing. However the material is kinda uncomfortable. Since it's waterproof, it's made out of smooth, elastic, "swimsuit"-like material which isn't pleasant to sit on. Obviously if you cover it with blankets or bedsheets it's fine, but if you plan to sleep directly on this you'll probably find it uncomfortable. It's also only MOSTLY waterproof. My cat has peed on our futon 3 times since implementing this & the first time it blocked 100% of the liquid from reaching the mattress, but it seems like the absorbing quality has lessened since then. The next 2 times it only stopped about 75% of the liquid - some seeped through onto the mattress, to my disappointment. My theory after reading several other reviews is that washing the mattress cover completely destroys the waterproof quality, even if you follow the instructions. Usually these waterproof covers must be washed in cold water (sometimes warm is okay) & absolutely CANNOT be run through the dryer except to tumble dry, bc the high heat will damage the waterproof material. Knowing this, I washed it in cold water with nothing else in the machine except hypoallergenic detergent (gentle on delicate fabrics) & chose to air-dry by hanging it from my shower curtain rod for 24hrs. It takes a long time to dry btw since the material is meant to retain liquid, so I would recommend tumble drying, again with NO heat. After it was finally dry the material felt exactly the same, but the next time kitty had an "accident" like I said, some of the liquid seeped through onto the futon. It happened again the next time too. I'm still using this cover as a preventative measure since it still has most of its waterproof quality, but I no longer trust it to fully prevent "accidents" from damaging my mattress. If you actually want something 100% waterproof, look elsewhere.

This is our third time purchasing as we have four kids. I gave our extra I keep around to my sister in law and not even two days later her daughter puked in the night. She was amazed that nothing leaked through to the mattress. We have had similar experiences and it's why we purchase this mattress protectors. They work and wash clean Everytime. Whether it be puke or pee. With four kids ..it happens!

Researched mattress protectors for months. I was looking to replace ones from a "big box" store that were inexpensive but didn't fit the mattress well and had torn after being washed. After much deliberating I settled on this one for my 9 and 5 year olds. When I first put one on the bed I thought it might seem a little noisy but after comparing it to our old ones I think it's about the same or better. Neither kid has mentioned it and I don't notice it at all. I can see how, as an adult, you *might* notice the noise if you haven't used a waterproof one before but I think its minimal. I don't think it would bother me but I also haven't tested it myself so not sure.I like how snugly it fits the mattress. It has elastic all the way around so it stays in place rather than the old ones that were always sliding off.Is it "water" proof? Well, my 5 year old, who rarely has accidents, had an accident recently and yes, the mattress pad did its job and kept the mattress dry. Shew! I washed and dried it and it came out perfect. Not sure how it will hold up over time but so far, so good. I'm pleased with this purchase.

This product is perfect. My 10 year old son has kidney disease and has trouble waking at night to go to the bathroom and has accidents some times that is why I got this product, it works great my son had an accident 2 nights age and this pad kept the mattress dry. Thank you for a fantastic product.
