A pleasure to cook with, the Signature series is durable & made well.
This is a great cooking set. They are heavy duty with 3 rivet, long solid handles that stay cool. This hard anodized aluminum set heats quickly & provides an evenly heated space. The lids are tempered glass with solid rims. Even the non-stick surface seems non-stickier. I’ve roasted a chicken in the stockpot in the oven for 3 hours a couple of times & the pot looks new & works great. I enjoy using these pans so I am cooking more home cooked meals than I have before I had these. Best of all, they survive metal utensils (I have to take their word on this because mine are wood & silicon) & can be washed in the dishwasher although I hand wash for convenience. Had a friend boil water & forget about it. The water boiled dry & was still heating, empty on med-high for a good 30 mins & the pot survived with no damage. To avoid the potential for damage I let the pan cool on the stove. This is my 3rd Calphalon set, after a roommate scratched my old set that I had for years, I bought the cheapest Calphalon set available & another roommate ruined them in the dishwasher, so I bought their most durable set & am very pleased with this purchase. They should last for years, so well worth the investment.

After a couple years these pans are still amazing.
Had these pans for about two years now. Coatings worn off the bottoms in a ring on some and the top edges where the lid rubs, BUT THE COMPANY WILL REPLACE ALL DAMAGED COATINGS assuming you didn't take a sandblaster to it or something. The important part is I have no damage to the inside coatings at all. Works amazingly well with gas especially, I had these for a while with a glass top electric and then I installed a Maytag gas range. Lids all look almost brand new still. Zero problems at all so far.Almost ever single negative review of these pans is people that take egg beaters and run them in their pots and pans and don't understand why the coating is scratching, and I would bet money they don't even try to use the LIFETIME WARRANTY on the coatings, or are complaining because they don't understand how these pans and lids work. The handles on the pans and pots are metal. They expand and contract as the pot is heated just like almost all metals. There are noises like popping that happen with the lids on the pots because of the magic science and expansion, this is normal. The lids and handles will get heated up if you don't know what you're doing and place the pans on burners that are larger than the pan or run your gas range with the flames coming out from under the pots/pans. Also heating up metal makes it hot, shocking I know. The pans are designed this way so that they are oven safe which the signature series I believe is good up to 500 F and I have used these multiple times in the broiler and oven. If you have 0 understanding of how to cook or what you are doing I don't know why you are going to the top of the list of expensive pans. Probably the same people that rent or test drive lambos and then stomp it turning from stop light and wreck it.The bands on the lids are "loose", this is because glass expands at a different rate than metal. If the bands were tight the glass would shatter every time the lid heats up. Again. SCIENCE. *mystical movements and noises*IN SUMMARY.LIFE. TIME. WARRANTY. USE IT.It's not ok to put electric egg beaters in any pan. Ever.Metal utensil safe means that you can use metal spoons or cooking tools for normal use, not egg beaters and scraping a fork along the bottom will scratch anything.PANS. HOT. *caveman grunt*

Wish they had given dimensions
Like - I was looking for quality cookware that could go into the dishwasher and oven, these met those requirements. They also look great and are a nice weight.Dislike - 3 qt. Sauce pan is too long to fit in my normal size dishwasher, unless I lay it flat which takes up to much usable space. The sauce pan is also too long to fit in my cupboard, unless i don’t put any other pans on the same shelf, a total waste of space.8 qt. Stock pan is to tall to fit in any of my normal height cupboards.I can’t find that dimensions were given anywhere in the description on Amazon or on the box the company packed them in. That would have been very, very helpful.Lids are flat making them difficult to store. Not sure what I am going to do with these 3 frustrations/disappointments listed above.I am keeping this set of pans and will post again after cooking and baking with them.

Durable and handles stay cool
Durable. Do not use metal utensils. Only silicone or wood. Handles do not get hot. Very nice set.

Great upgrade from the classic version
Stick proof doesn’t last forever. I am replacing a calphalon classic set with these. They are noticeably heavier duty. They might actually be a little too heavy for some people. The stick proof coating is supposed to be thicker and more durable so I am hoping the my will last a while. I did a lot of research before buying and for the price you just can’t beat these. One thing I did not like was the lids do not have strainers like the classic set.

Not durable
**Purchased August 2023**The outside of the pots have deteriorated badly. The bottoms of the pots have a deteriorated ring, and the words "Dishwasher Safe" have corroded. I thought it could be the older conventional stove top, but the top lips have also deteriorated to the point that they are sharp and can cut you. Online sources say that dishwasher cleaning can cause this reaction. The inside non-stick coating is also very scratched and damaged. Due to the incorrect care instructions or simply poor durability, I would not recommend these pots.
