I really like this curl cream! It helps control frizz while keeping my curls soft, defined, and natural-looking without making my hair feel heavy or sticky. It’s easy to apply and gives my curls a nice, smooth finish. Definitely a great addition to my hair routine!

I have moderately curly hair—definitely more curly than wavy—but it is also thin, extremely frizzy, and high porosity. And when summer humidity arrives, my hair transforms into what I affectionately call my White Woman’s Afro. 😂 My hair is so big and wild that people who know me can literally spot me from half a mile away. It is my calling card. If you don’t see me, just look for the enormous cloud of hair coming down the street. 🌪️😂 I have spent YEARS searching for my Holy Grail hair product. My bathroom contains what can only be described as a curl-product graveyard: curl creams, mousses, gels, glazes, leave-in conditioners, bond builders, conditioners, shampoos, shampoo bars…you name it. I have apparently made it my life’s mission to purchase every product ever created for curly hair. So when I saw Not Your Mother’s Curl Talk Cream & Gel on social media, I thought, “Sure. Why not add two more products to the graveyard?” 😂 Honestly, I had ZERO high hopes. And then the universe played a very funny little trick on me. MY HAIR LOOKED REALLY GOOD. I had defined curls, noticeably less frizz, and—most shocking of all—NO GIANT FRIZZ HALO. This is a significant development in my life. Then came Day Two. Usually, Day Two is when my hair starts staging a rebellion. Instead, I actually had more volume, defined curls, AND STILL NO FRIZZ. I was beginning to suspect I had accidentally stumbled onto something. I can typically get about four days out of this product without needing to refresh my hair. At night, I put my hair into a very loose bun and pin it up on top of my head. In the morning, I take it down, shake it out, and I’m basically ready to go. And a silk pillowcase is absolutely essential if you have frizzy, curly, unruly hair like mine. Your hair will thank you. So after a lifetime of searching, experimenting, buying, regretting, and contributing to the Great Curl Product Graveyard of America… I MAY HAVE FOUND MY HOLY GRAIL. 🙌😂 Not Your Mother’s Curl Talk gets a 10/10 from my giant, unruly, humidity-sensitive cloud of hair. Have been using the curl cream for a long time. It’s non greasy and has a very nice smell. It holds hair with no frizz and is ver moisturizing.

I have 3 biracial kids with LONG 3a/3b/3c hair, and have only found Ms.Jessies works to hold their curls for multiple days after wash day, but they were recently sold out so we tried Not Your Mother's. I did really like these products because it was simplified into a curl cream and curl gel. Smell was sweet like pineapples, which isn't my cup of tea, but the kids enjoyed it. Day one, their curls actually looked amazing, day 2 they frizzed quickly, and by day 3 it was time for a other wash day. Definitely recommend using a leave in conditioner before the curl cream. I do rate this product better than Aunt Jackie's. I would order again if I can't find our normal products. The price is also amazing.

The perfect duo!! The gel makes an amazing cast and the cream hydrates!!!

The gel works alright just like any other normal gel. I could not get the hair cream/ frizz control to actually control my frizz. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? I gave up after a few tries because my hair was looking the same after using it.

Love using this after shampooing. Holds the curl and none of the stickiness that hairsprays provide. Does not get greasy and helps to keep the ends from getting dried out.
