Having never been exposed to Eastern Orthodox theology or practice, I found this to be an enlightening and attractive read.

Dr. Eve Tibbs wrote in a clear and easy to understand style. Her explanations of Orthodox theology were insightful! I loved the book!

Great Orthodox for Dummies book. It’s not super heady where you have to look up every other big word and it really does a great job of explaining Orthodoxy in an easy to understand way

Was a wonderful experience reading through this text. I couldn't wait to read the next chapter. It covers all the core elements of the faith. It lays the foundation on why Orthodoxy lineage and is so important.

I was born and baptized into the Orthodox faith. My wife is a convert, and both my sons have been baptized Orthodox. But I get questions from them why certain things are the way they are, and even organically of the faith, I often don’t know, just that is how we’ve always been doing things. I am taking a journey into the “why’s” of the faith, so we can all grow together. Still reading, but so far I recommend it, to those new to the faith and to those born into the faith and are wondering why we do or believe in the way we do.

Dr. Tibbs has helped me understand the basics of orthodox theology in non-academic language. I also had the privilege of taking a class with Dr. Tibbs at Fuller Seminary, and she is one of the best professors I have had. She is really interested in her students' understanding of the concepts, and this book is just another testament to that.

Worth a read for anyone interested in Eastern Orthodoxy
