kandouren - case Cover for Kindle Paperwhite (for Kindle Paperwhite, Sailboat)

I got the kindle cover with the sailboat painting design. It is very pretty, and when I first unboxed the cover, I took a long moment admiring it’s beauty! The cover fits perfectly on my kindle paper white (6th generation), while still allowing full access to all the ports and button on the bottom of the kindle. This isn’t a case that is going to protect your kindle from a ton of abuse nor drops, since it’s very thin; made of rigid plastic, and is lightweight. It will, however, be sturdy enough to prevent your kindle screen from getting scratched up in your purse or backpack. The painting image is one large continuous image going from the back cover to the front. The magnetic closure works well at turning the kindle screen on upon opening it. Unlike my old case, this one is slightly texturized on the outside but instead of having a rubbery/grippy material, the outer surface of the cover is slippery. This is good for if you want a case that is going to be easy to slip in and out of a tight fitting bag, but make sure to get a solid grip on your kindle if you’re holding it in your arms along with other items, since it could very well slip out. This isn’t a deal breaker for me, since I typically use small purses and this slick material works well in allowing my kindle to be protected while also allowing me to slip my kindle into small bags without any resistance.

This case is truly beautiful, well made, and again, is just so, so pleasing to the eye. I think this may be my first review to write on Amazon, but I just received this case along with my newly ordered Kindle- it fits perfectly, the sleep and wake function work properly, and it's just so beautiful I needed to leave a review. I was really between this case and another brand with beautiful designs (Walnew), but considering the comparable prices, I decided to go with this one.The back is sturdy and is a hard shell, which I presume would hold up very well in the case of falls. The flap is hard-like, but is still bendable, while the inside of the front flap is made of a soft microfiber material. So far, the sleep/wake auto function has been functioning perfectly (as I've been peeking after closing the front flap).The design is just really so beautiful (I know, I'm becoming a broken record), but it almost gives me a sense of peace, as if I'm looking out from a sailboat into a real ocean on a truly beautiful summer day. I don't think you will regret this purchase!

It takes a lot for me to give an item 5 stars. When I opened up the mailing envelope my first impression was, Wow! I literally said that when I first saw it.I was not expecting it to look as nice and as sturdy as it does. I have bought my fair share (10-15) of covers for our various devices like the Kindle Fire, Fire Hd, IPad, IPod touch, IPad minis, and most have been disappointments or unimpressive. This cover is not one of them. It's beautiful!!I love the way it looks and the way it feels. The inside cover is soft. It has the name of the company on it, but it's very faint and you can barely see it. I had to really try to focus my iPhone camera to capture it in the photo I've attached.It has a sleep and wake function, much like other covers have. I think it may have a magnet to close it because I tried opening up the cover and it seems to pull are gravitate to the kindle. I feel like it'll be safe to put my kindle in my purse. The only thing I wish is that it had a strap. I think I'd feel better if it did, just because I know a strap with hold it closed, but it would definitely take away from the simplicity and the beauty of the cover.I saw a few of the Kandourens and thought this was the most beautiful. Even more beautiful than the Starry Night. I had a hard time choosing between the two, but eventually chose this because it was just so unique and not as common.I really feel like this was worth the cost. My son is looking for a new cover for his iPad mini and I hope this company makes covers for iPads. It's gorgeous!If this review helped you, please consider pressing the helpful button. This is the most beautiful cover I have ever had for any device. The lighthouse screen with the boats and the waves is more beautiful when you are holding it in your hand, just stunning!This protects my Kindle Paperwhite perfectly. No worrying about scratches or dropping as this fits it snug and keeps it secure. I like that the cover wakes it when opening and puts it to sleep when I close it. Very soft fabric like inside the cover so this protects the screen nicely. Once you close the cover it stays closed until you open it. It is very light weight so does not add any extra weight to the device so it is very comfortable to hold while reading. It reminds me of a mini hardcover book. I am glad that not seeing any reviews did not stop me from buying this as I do rely a lot on other people's reviews. I love it!

This case fits my new Kindle Paperwhite perfectly and provides stylish security. The Kindle simply pops easily into the inner plastic casing and has not released, despite my bad habit of dropping it frequently. The case itself is a marriage of hard plastic protection around the device itself and a slightly softer, more comfortable outer casing for both grip and a bit of bounce if it hits the floor. The outer leaf bends back easily and completely if I want to hold it with one hand, and additionally it's light, overall easy to hold, and quite lovely to look at. The magnet does its job - the case stays closed securely while tossed into my bag but opens without effort, which wakes my Kindle automatically. I'm currently very happy that I chose this particular case to protect my Paperwhite.
