excellent visibility for nighttime activities
I recently purchased the **Energizer LED Headlamp PRO (2-Pack)**, and I couldn't be more impressed! Here’s why I’d give it a solid five stars: - **Bright and Efficient**: The LED lights are incredibly bright, providing excellent visibility for nighttime activities. Especially walking the dog! - **Comfortable Fit**: The adjustable strap ensures a snug, comfortable fit, even during extended use. I often forget I'm wearing it, which is a huge plus! - **Versatile Lighting Modes**: With multiple lighting modes, including high, low, and strobe, it adapts to various needs. I appreciate being able to switch to a softer light for close-up tasks without blinding myself. - **Durable and Weather-Resistant**: The IPX4 water resistance rating gives me confidence in its durability. I’ve used it in light rain and humidity without any issues, making it ideal for outdoor adventures. - **Great Value**: Getting two headlamps in one pack is fantastic for the price. It’s perfect for sharing with a friend or keeping one in the car and one at home. Overall, the **Energizer LED Headlamp PRO** is a reliable and high-quality product that I would recommend to anyone in need of a dependable headlamp. Five stars all the way!

I Like The Energizer LED Headlamp PRO
I have purchased others. These Energizer LED Headlamps are a good value and they work very well. The Energizer LED Headlamp PRO (2-Pack), is a high performance, IPX4 Water Resistant, light weight Headlamp. The headlamp has a pivoting head and a sufficiently bright 260 lumens. It uses three AAA batteries. Battery life will depend on the brightness level setting you choose, otherwise you should not have any issues with battery life. During my use the lamp stays cool overall and you can make adjustments with the adjustable headband to get a good fit for your head. And yes, it has a red light mode.

Bright enough, coarse tilt adjustment, a good value
A good, basic headlamp that is easy to open, has an adjustable strap and a tilt capability. The tilt adjustment is coarse, about 22 degrees per detent, so only the first two settings are of use when walking or running, and third position for close work. I don’t know what the 90 degree and 112 degree settings would be useful for, unless you want to tell ghost stories around the campfire! The lamp does not have a regulated output, so brightness will diminish as the batteries discharge, but I would not expect regulation in such an inexpensive lamp. Not rated for rechargeable batteries and won’t function with NiMH; but I didn’t expect that either. The two pack came with 6 AAA batteries that were past the use-by date, but for the price of the batteries were “free”. If you use a headlamp every day, consider getting a lamp that can run on rechargeable batteries and has regulated output. I have such a lamp that cost 4 times as much as this 2-pack, and worth it to me. For an emergency kit in your car or go bag, these lamps are perfect adequate and a good value; and having two hands free when the unexpected happens after dark is priceless. UPDATED 2024-10-31 In my initial review I said the light is not regulated, but I was wrong. Although the product makes no direct claim for regulated output, the ability to dim the light implies regulation is being used. Consequently, rather than fading over time I expect the light output will remain constant until the batteries get below the threshold where they can sustain the current required to run at full brightness. When you turn on the headlamp the first mode you get is red light, which is what you want if you are trying to preserve your night vision. The red light is not dimmable. After red are the three white light modes, each of which come on at full brightness and can then be dimmed. Below are operating instructions I found on the Energizer website. Energizer VISION HD+ Headlight OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: • Press 1 time for Night Vision (red). Dimming not available. • Press 2 times for Spot & Flood on high. Hold down to adjust brightness. Light will flash at highest and lowest settings. Release to set light level. • Press 3 times for Spot only. Hold down to adjust brightness. Light will flash at highest and lowest settings. Release to set light level. • Press 4 times for Flood only. Hold down to adjust brightness. Light will flash at highest and lowest settings. Release to set light level. • On any mode, press after 2 seconds to turn light off. No need to cycle through the modes.

Great Headlamps for the Money
These are great! I love that you get two of them! I've bought them a couple times. We live on a farm and use a head lamp almost every evening (especially in the winter) to do chores in the dark. These are our go-to headlamps. I love that they're rechargeable, very bright (especially when freshly charged) and provide good visibility. You get multiple beam types from wide (for doing close up work where you need to illuminate a workspace like a table) to a strong focused beam if you need to look across a field or pasture. The design on theses is such that the hinge is notched so that you can adjust the angle of the headlight (from straight ahead to pointing down at the ground). Regarding durability, we've had the first set we ordered for a couple years (which is good longevity) but the daily use eventually wore the hinge so that it no longer stays up against your head (pointing straight ahead) but tilts a little bit down. It's not a deal breaker, but it can be a little annoying depending upon what you're trying to do. But again, this was after a couple years of almost daily use. The elastic head straps are comfortable to wear. There is also a pad on the back side of the headlamp for cushion against the skin. They're easy to adjust down or up and work for both kids and adults. The light has a multiple settings from the wide and focused beams (as noted above) to flashing red light (great for wearing on the back of your head for night time visibility on the road) to a solid red light, which I find is particularly useful at night when I don't need a bright white light. The solid red light does not attract bugs -- perfect for night time outdoor adventures (farm work, camping, etc.) where you don't want bugs attracted to your headlamp. One of the other features is a motion detecting on/off feature. If you press the left button, the lamp will turn on motion detecting. There is some kind of motion sensor such that you can use your hand to easily turn the light on or off. For our daily use, these rechargeable headlamps made the most sense. They come with charging cords that are easy to use. They can be charged as needed overnight and ready to go for the next day. I'm not sure they would be good for camping unless you had access to a power supply for charging, but if you have regular access to power, these are a great and affordable option.

Your search is over, just buy this one.
Buy this one. It has 3 white light settings with adjustable power settings, one red light with no adjustable power which is fine. I've used it coyote hunting, walking around at night and during power outages. The plastic feels a little cheap but it gets the job done. It's fairly light weight and I sometimes forget it's on my head if it's been turned off for a while. It takes 3 AAA batteries and has lasted me a couple months before I changed them just prior to writing this review. I wish I had this for fire watch in the Corps, would've let me put my hands in my pockets on those cold field nights.

Plenty of light, nice features, great price.
I purchased the model called “PRO”. Amazon seems also to list a “PRO 260” that appears to be the same product, as the purchased model is also rated at 260 lumens. I have no problem giving this 5 stars. I have a vintage Petzl lamp that cost as much or more 10 – 15 years ago for a single unit, and these are vastly superior. The Petzl battery compartment was annoyingly difficult to open / close, and the on-off switch was no joy. The “red” light was a flip-down filter over the main light that was also hard to locate by feel and operate. Regarding the Energizer, the battery compartment is easy to open yet still closes securely. The batteries do not want to “jump out” and are happy to stay in place while you close the cover. The on-off switch is significantly larger and therefore easier to find / operate. The strap is comfortable and easy to adjust. These units arrived with a black strap instead of the gray shown / advertised in the listing. That was a pleasant surprise to me. You may feel differently. The only objections I can raise are the complete lack of operating instructions (it’s surprisingly non-intuitive) and that’s it’s advertised as having 7 modes, which is misleading. Let me resolve those. It really has only four modes: red, spot and flood combined, spot only, and flood only, in that sequence. The modes are initiated by the number of times you initially press the on switch. Press once for red. Press four times for flood only. Once in any mode, a single press returns you to off. So, to go from spot to flood you press once for off, then four times for flood. Except for red, all modes are variably dimmable. Once in any mode except red, hold the switch and the light will dim. It will blink when it arrives at the lowest level, which is not all the way to black. Press and hold again and it will brighten, blinking again when it achieves maximum intensity. Since the modes are variably dimmable you might as well say it has infinite modes, but the way the manufacturer counts them is red, and then both high and low on the three other modes. Both units arrived in working order.

Headlamp for close up work
I had two Energizer headlamps that I purchased from Home Depot years ago. They were basic units, two led bulbs, pivoting head and a switch that slid left to right to turn on a red lamp or the led's. After years of use the switches finally wore out, so, I decided to go again with another Energizer headlamp even though I didn't need all the extras, all I needed was an on/off switch as I do close up work restoring vintage jukeboxes and the headlamp was especially useful when working on the mechanisms. After receiving the headlamps I really like them, especially the headbands that seem not to stretch as badly as the one's on my old headlamps, also, they have a pivoting head in order for me to aim the beam at my work. All in all, I believe I made a good choice with not a lot of expense. We'll see how they work out but so far I'm totally satisfied.

Good. 4 modes. No memory so 3 clicks every time to get to brightest.
Works well and is bright. It cycles between red, medium, high, low and off. Once you stop pressing the power button for a second, then the next press will turn it off. So if you use medium, you press the power twice to get to medium, the once again when done to turn it off. I like that you don't have to go through the whole rest of the cycle to turn it off, but I wish it also remembered the last setting used so it went straight to that when turning it on again.
