Sunbeam Cordless Heating Pad with Rechargeable and Portable Design for Recovery

Very BAD

I get really bad menstrual cramps that usually leave me chained to the bed because roasting under a heat pad is the only thing that really helps. The old heat pad I was using has to be plugged in so it was very inconvenient having to be laying around all day to avoid being in pain. This portable wireless heat pad has been a huge help because I’ve been able to be up and about, making bread and getting things done around the house all while wearing this discreet little pad under my clothes! It works great to keep my cramps at bay, is very comfortable to wear and you can easily wear it under a baggy shirt and no one will even know it’s there. I even made a run to the grocery store wearing it and I feel great even though I got woken up by that terrible feeling of my insides churning last night, but wearing this heat pad all day has been keeping the pain away efficiently and in a very convenient way that allows me to go on about my day instead of being stuck laying around for hours :) the battery could be a little better, but I’ve been able to wear it on the medium heat setting for probably about 3 hours before it died and it already gave 3 hours of being able to do things instead of being in pain, so I will still take the win because considering the price I feel like that’s not a bad deal! Charging it up so I can wear it again in a few hours when it’s fully charged is no biggie in my opinion. 10/10 would recommend!!!

I eagerly awaited this product when my back pain was diagnosed with degenerative discs. The pain was excruciating at times. After wearing this wireless hothead for a short time the pain from the cramping muscles disappeared!!! It is better than drugs and comfortable to wear. Low setting gives me about 4 hrs of heat but if the pain gets worse I can turn it up to medium and it feels great. Highest level would be much too hot to wear for any length of time. My only concern is the elastic strap which secures itself with velcro. The strap seems pretty flimsy but maybe that's what makes it comfy. My only complaint is that, apparently, I cannot buy replacement batteries so that I can have one charging to exchange with the one I'm wearing. PS - after wearing this gem for a week I have found no issues with the elastic strap. The constant heat has done wonders with reducing the pain from my bad disc. I can wear it while doing barn chores and it stays in place and keeps my back muscles from spasming. It fits so smoothly that it is discreet under a sweater or sweatshirt. High quality materials. It takes 1 1/2 hrs to fully recharge.

I purchased this product on sale for $39.99, and at that price point I believe it's a good buy. I followed some of the other reviewers advice, and bought an extra battery on a warehouse deal so in total I spent about $60 for 2 batteries and the heat pad. The biggest upsides are of course the portability, and my personal dealbreaker, that the pad does get nice and hot. It is nearly as hot as my electric heating pad. That said, the big drawback is managing the battery. On a full charge, the battery will only last about 40 minutes to an hour when the heat setting is set to high. I purchased an extra battery and even with 2, once one is expired it will not fully charge by the time the other one is completely dead. The other big downside, is that it will not hold a charge if it's not used immediately so if you fully charge the battery, and then put it in a drawer for future use, it will turn on for about 30 seconds and then shut off because it's dead. This is particularly frustrating because that also means that the battery that's on the heating pad-- even if it still had charge when you walked away from it before--when you come back the next day to use it again, its dead, and the other fully charged battery is now dead, so you really have to plan when you're gonna use the pad. It would be much less frustrating if each battery came with a charger charger since the charge time is so long and it doesn't seem to want to retain the charge. For these reasons, it's worth the $40 ($60 with the extra battery), but I would not pay full price for this item, and I wouldn't buy it without purchasing an extra battery.
