9 Sonatinas, Opp. 20 & 55 (Alfred Masterwork Edition)

A fun additional sonatina book with a nice variety of pieces for the piano student in early intermediate.Does not require a large hand stretch in many pieces for beginning classical music.

I use Palmer's edition for many other books (Bach, for example). I love that the original score is in black and editor's additions or suggestions are in gray. As a teacher, I find that very helpful - I can then make my own decisions and choices with how to interpret the original score.Kuhlau's sonatinas are good for intermediate students. Kuhlau serves as a good prep for sonatas.

I studied many of these pieces when I was a little girl! It is great to reconnect with an old friend!
