I've tried multiple other shower covers for my line and I've found that even the best her only about 75% effective. There's still a tendency to leak and needs to have screws backup. So as I was searching for alternative products, I came across these ones and decided to give them a try. They are the best that I've tried so far and I have not had any problems with leaking. The only caveat is that the whole film is sticky, so if you don't want it to stick to your line, you need to use something like a piece of glad press and seal or something similar over your line first before putting the shower cover on. But even doing that is virtually hassle-free compared to what I normally do to make sure my line doesn't get wet from the shower. Highly recommend. Also, if you didn't know this already, if you use alcohol swabs around the outside of your line on your skin wher the barrier is going to come in contact with your skin, it helps remove dead skin cells/sweat, etc, and the cover sticks better.

These have been a life saver while on dialysis with a chest catheter. I have been able to shower most of my body with ease and without worry thanks to the tight seal. These are sticky all over so gauze may be needed to keep it from sticking to the actual bandage or port.

Honest review - I purchased this product for my father. We were worried about how my father was going to shower because we heard that if the port area gets wet, it could be life-threatening (due to infection). The shield really works!! and keeps the dialysis port area from getting wet. I had to use 2 shields and cut into it to fit the site but nonetheless it kept the area dry. Thank you. I will be purchasing this product again.

This product is good overall, though it can be a bit tricky to apply—especially around the abdominal area due to the curves. Sometimes it doesn't stick properly if the blue backing hasn’t been fully removed, but once that’s off, it fits much better. What I do is add a second strip over the top edge because if I use just one layer, a little water can still get in. With the extra layer, I avoid that issue. It does its job and provides about 90% waterproof protection, which is pretty effective.

1st time User of this product! These 8x8 are working to cover my wife's Pertioneal catheter tube. Easy to use & has kept her PD assembly dry while showering. Easy to stick to skin prior to showering, easy to peel off. Large enough even with the PD tube, bandages under it. Recommend this product.

The 1st package worked great, the 2nd order has some sort of defect whereby the lower right side is "STUCK" on the top of the clear film and bunches up!! This is unacceptable, as water getting onto the leads or leaking is a problem. What kind of replacements can be provided?

Omg! This stuff is a life-saver! I am new to the whole "port in your chest for dialysis treatment" thing and have been struggling. They say if you get a single drop of water in it you go septic! This, like.... becomes your skin! I am sooooo happy that I'm now able to take a shower without the risk of dying!

DO NOT BUY unless you want whatever you’re trying to protect to be lifted and stuck to the glue including your skin. It hurts TERRIBLY to remove and will peel off your bandages and your skin DO NOT BUY. Anyone who said this is good, didn’t have an open wound to protect. Yes water won’t get inside but rest assured your skin will come off with this and your bandage too. 0 stars

My son uses these for spares in between getting his PICC flushed. Make sure to always have gloves on and use a mask whenever dealing with the PICC or leave it to the nursing staff who flush your PICC line. My son gets extremely itchy but these do not bother him as much. Stick well to keep water out, although, my son still uses a waterproof sleeve for extra safety and precautions.

I have a dialysis catheter that CANNOT get wet. I bandaged it up with a few of these and went swimming in the lake and everything was fine. Just make sure you do a good job if you’re going to submerge completely. These are great and made my quality of life so much better.

I’ve bought these a few times and they work great! I have a colostomy and use these bandages when I shower to cover my pouch to increase wear time on my colostomy pouch and flange. They definitely keep the water out!

Colle bien mais il est préférable d'envelopper le cathéter avec de la pellicule plastique ou autre chose avant d'appliquer le bandage autocollant. Mon conjoint ne l'a pas fait et, en voulant retirer le bandage de douche, a fait sortir son cathéter de quelques centimètres, nécessitant une visite à l'hôpital.
