First impression is a good one! I just put this together today, so we'll see how it holds up over time. A friend recommended this brand based on an older model she has that's no longer available. I bought the stainless steel version. It's a I expected - just the lid is stainless, the rest is plastic, but again that's how it appears online so no surprises. I still wanted the stainless top since that's the part my cats will lick so it might effect flavor. First impressions: 1. This is literally quieter than my refrigerator, and I only filled it about half full. I had a ceramic fountain years ago and never liked how loud it was. This one is quieter by far. (In my video you can compare in the last part with the background noise of my dishwasher and dryer running). 2. I LOVE the fact that there's an OPTION to TURN THE LIGHT OFF! I know lots of other people seem to like the blue light, but I prefer to not have excess light (pollution) in my home and I'm so happy the designers made this optional rather than compulsory, as is the case these days with so many electronic devices. 3. The instructions have just the right amount of detail. And they're funny! The pump is a little character that tells you how to clean them. So creative and useful! Because it's amusing it's more inviting to read - and proper pump maintenance is vital to keeping the fountain in proper working order - so well done in making this part inviting. 4. I took the time to properly wash all the parts of the fountain and give the charcoal filter a good rinse like the instructions say to do to help get rid of excess charcoal dust and also help eliminate anything that might not smell/ taste good to the kitties. Both of mine were drinking from the fountain within five minutes of putting it out. They both like to lick water droplets out of the sink and tub so I know they prefer fresh water to bowls. So I just did my job of cleaning anything from the brand new fountain that might smell or taste unfamiliar and they both embraced it. Happy household so far!;

We have a 42 pound Shepherd Akita mix. We were using the standard metal bowl, that needed constant changing and cleaning. While I definitely grabbed too small of a size, we opted to use this as a second bowl. My girl only uses this fountain now. She wont touch her bowl. What's really nice about this bowl, outside the cool water fountain feature, is that it forces my dog to drink slower and not as rushed. This means far less cleanup around the bowl. I like the blue light which easily identifies the water line, plus provides a nice nightlight, too. Highly recommend but make sure you know the size. I'm buying a much bigger one, but this is a must buy!!

Cats don't really like their food close to their water (a natural instinct). They also tend to like running water. My sister in law got the smaller version (same brand, all plastic, no lights) for her cat to get him to drink more and stop him from stalking the sinks for running water. He really liked it, so I thought I'd get one for my three. They dont do the same as he does, but they paw at the water to make it move, or to see if it's there? Anyway, I got the bigger stainless steel one. It was really easy to assemble. Soak/rinse filter, put the pump inside unit, thread it through the opening, fill with water, put in both trays and filter, secure the flower, plug in. It took 4-5 regular water bottles to fill, for reference. Washing each part was easy too, no weird crevices to scrub. I hand washed because I'm not sure if any of it is dishwasher safe. It might be ok in the top rack, but if this is their only fountain, you'll probably want to just hand wash to get it set back up for your pets as soon as possible. I set it up in our bedroom, but up on my vanity away from their food. We can't hear it when we sleep and because we like a very dim nightlight, the lights are a nice touch (although you can just turn them off if it bothers you). I brought each one up to it so they know where it is and what it does. I put my finger in it, touched it to their mouth so they recognize it's water. They got it right away. They were intrigued and drank from it. They really don't care for the flower part. They never cared about drinking from faucets so they drink from the tray. They try to avoid the falling water so it doesn't hit their little faces and whiskers. I can tell they get a bit annoyed when it happens (their irritated expressions when they clean off their faces is hilarious) but it hasn't deterred them. If it's possible I'm gonna see if I can just remove the flower so it's more like a bubbling fountain, if it doesn't affect the filter or pump or anything like that. I'm sure they don't mind that their tags don't hit the sides of the dish anymore either, since it's shallow. My cats drank a decent amount of water before when they had bowls, but I can tell they're drinking a lot more with the fountain. This is a huge relief, as my oldest one has crystals and needed much more moisture in his diet. Overall, a great purchase. Sister in law agrees, from her experience with the smaller fountain and her cat. Cats seem to agree. Pictured is my girl looking at it for the first time, then drinking after realizing what it is.

I bought this for my newly acquired (from my front porch) kitty brothers. All 3 cats loved it and it was excellent while it lasted. I meticulously followed all cleaning instructions, and everything was going so well until the included motor stopped pumping the water. It barely dribbled out on top so I took it all apart, washing & inspecting everything but it appears the motor just gave up. I had high hopes for this furball fountain considering the great reviews but I’m incredibly disappointed the motor died so quickly on this thing. Update: The seller contacted me and was very sorry to hear the pump died. I was refunded fully for the purchase and have decided to buy this product again as my cats really enjoyed it and the reviews are very positive. I’ll update my review to release my experience with the 2nd unit.

Cons: - Some days it can be loud enough to be annoying. The noise varies. - the pump wire is submerged in the water reservoir and threaded through the side. Makes it difficult to refill and clean. Pros: - it works, cat likes it - you can toggle the light on and off - comes with a rubber mat It is not a bad product, but I would not buy it again and would not recommend it more than other water fountains available for purchase.

We've had this for almost a year, we have one with a stainless steel top. Cats love it, obviously, but that says very little about the quality of design. It takes almost no brain cells to assemble, but again, says little about the design. After a year running constantly, the pump is very quiet. This is more helpful than you'd think, because when it gets a tiny bit louder, you know it's time to refill the water. Yes, the internal light can help monitor, but we leave it off because it's fairly bright at night. What I really like about it, though, is the cleanliness. I clean it with soap and water and change both filters once a month. The black filter always collects a good quantity of cat fur, but the water stays crystal clear between cleanings. This is due IMO to the stainless steel top and to the quality design. Negatives are quite minor. One of our cats makes a mess when he drinks, spilling water outside the fountain. To deal with this we've set the fountain in a tray, not directly on the floor. The fountain itself does not leak. I also attached some rubberized feet to the bottom. Overall, a well thought out cat water fountain.

UPDATE: the company contacted me immediately after this review and sent me a new pump as well as new filters to go with it!! Great customer service and I hope this lasts longer than the first one! I’ve had this fountain for about 2 months and have followed all cleaning instructions to a T. After using it for 2 months the pump started to sound loud which was unusual as it had never been this loud before. The next thing I know the pump stops working all together. There was no water coming out despite right before this happening the fountain being cleaned and refilled. For the price I expected better and for it to last longer than 2 months. Will not be buying another from this brand for my cat!

We initially brought this product for our new kitten that we added to our home. We would give her a bowl of water and she would not drink it and instead tip the whole bowl over. We asked around for some recommendations from our friends and one of them recommended this product. When we first got the water fountain, it was super easy to assemble and they give you an extra filter for replacement. In addition, both our new kitten and our current cat both loved the water fountain and I felt like they were staying hydrated. Then a couple of months later, my kitten now finds it entertaining to lift the lid of the water fountain, which causes the lid to be out of sync and water to go everywhere. After she does this, we try to adjust the water fountain back where it was previously, but she would proceed to do it again. We have now added tape to our fountain so that she will try not to lift the lid again. Though it can get tiresome to consistently un-tape the lid to add fresh water and clean the fountain and then re-tape it back up. If the manufacturers are ever looking for ways to improve this product, I would say please include plastic clasps or something that can hold the lid down, so that cats can't easily lift it up. It could also be because I picked the stainless steel lid, which does not seal onto the fountain very well. In addition, be aware that when the water container is about half-full, you will hear this loud buzzing sound of the motor running too hard. I would have loved if there is an easier way to just add water to the fountain without unplugging it and taking it all apart to add more water. Overall, I rate this product 3/5 stars. It does the job, but could definitely use improvements listed above.

Estoy totalmente satisfecha con mi compra, cumple perfectamente su función, recibí el producto muy rápido, pensé que al ser de otro país tardaría mucho en llegar pero no fue así, de verdad si estás viendo esto y eres de México o de cualquier país de habla hispana te recomiendo esta fuente para tus mascotas, yo estuve buscando opiniones del producto en español pero la verdad no encontré, sólo en inglés, pero mira que estoy muy feliz de haberla pedido. Espero que mi opinión te sirva para comprarla.
