Do it!
I purchased this as a purse pistol for work and it's amazing! Its speed and force are pretty impressive for this tiny guy and it's ability to hold 3 rounds is a must! Once in a while it gets confused and tries to launch 2 darts at the same time - they don't make it very far! I changed out the bullet projectiles for suction cup ones for a grander effect, this is a good idea if you don't always want to actually strike your human target (or if you do want to pop your coworker, it will dramatically stick to their forehead or eyeglasses for a second). I enjoy firing from a stealthy position and aiming for a flat surface near the victims person.. like a window behind them, or their coffee mug. Anyway, fits great in my purse, easy to use, and packs a kick!

A lot of fun and works great!
We have several nerf guns using small nerf missiles, but none more fun than these little 3 missile guns. They shoot about 70' feet or more, and are nice and small. I also like that a small child cannot pull back on the cocking pull-rod. That makes this a bit safer so that a very young child cannot just pick it up and start cocking and shooting. My 8 year old grandson is just strong enough to pull the cocking mechanism. This is a great little gun and a great value. I definitely recommend it.

It's worse than on a couple other guns I have with ...
Pros:Very surprisingly powerful for its size. Shot distance matches many larger, and even some lightly modded, guns I own.The automatic barrel firing system is just magical. Slap a dart in any barrel and it shoots it.Cons:Its automatic barrel firing system that magically knows what barrels have darts in them requires nearly brand new darts or the darts just fall out. It's worse than on a couple other guns I have with the same system.

Powerful!!
My favorite nerf gun! My son recently got rid of his nerf guns when we moved (30+!) I kept this one for myself :) It is small, compact and is super powerful - perfect when the kids don’t get out of bed, lol.

Great, cheap Nerf gun!
I bought this for my 12 year old son to add to his Nerf arsenal. The Nerf Triad is a three-shot, single fire Nerf blaster. The packaging includes the blaster and three Elite darts. To shoot a dart, you load a dart into the muzzle, pull the priming handle, and pull the trigger.PROS:SmallLightweightPowerful, for a small gunHolds three darts instead of one, unlike the Jolt.CONS:You'll actually need large pockets to fit this in your pocket.Overall, my son really enjoys this Nerf gun. It's a great backup blaster to add to his arsenal.

Newer iterations: Poor QC?
I already own a triad that I bought years ago. I figured I would pick up another one because it shot hard, accurately, and was just good fun: everything just worked really well. No hiccups with the intelligent AR; it held even worn darts that I've fired probably over 50 times in place without popping out. And even the 3rd (weakest) shot hit hard and went far with no noticeable degradation in fps or range. When I opened up the new one I ordered and fired the first 3 shots, I could immediately tell something was off. The first 2 shots seem on par with my old triad, if not a little down on velocity, but the 3rd shot was significantly down on velocity and range. In some cases it was really bad to the point where my jolt was outshooting it. Not only that but the inner barrel was noticeably looser so darts that were snug in my old triad, popped out with ease due to the AR springs.I did end up opening up the new triad and noticed that the ARs were a different design and the prongs were a little too long where they did not fully recess. The AR also had excess material where it seemed like it was blocking off airflow. And to top it all off the seal in the ARs were very poor due to uneveness in the plastic that the rubber pad presses up against when a dart is not loaded. This uneveness allows air to escape. Darts not fully loaded in the barrel will still be pushed out slightly by the escaping air. This does not happen in my old triad. There is nothing I can reasonably do to fix it since the AR system is a sealed unit. This was evident due to the fact that the piston seems to have no damping and slams back up hard even when no darts are loaded. My old triad has a very noticeable damping effect.Overall, I'm not sure if I got a dud, or if I just happened to get a super well built triad the first time, or if QC is slipping. It would probably be best to try to buy a used one for $5 or so.

Fun for older kids and adults
So much fun. Got these for Christmas for a bunch of child-like adults and it led to an all out battle around the Christmas tree. Great value for a very fun Christmas Day nerf battle. Just be forewarned you will be finding nerf darts for months to come. (Probably a bit too tough for a smaller child to pull down on the trigger mechanism- also these STING at close range- so perhaps keep the fun limited to older kids and adults).

Motivate Your Office's Dan
Every Office has a Dan. You know, the one who needs some extra motivation from time to time? At our office our Dan is actually named Dan, it's a weird coincidence, but sometimes things just work out that way.The motivator that we've found works best on our Dan is this Nerf N-Strike Elite Triad EX-3 Blaster. When Dan is acting up, we can go to his cube and fire a trio of darts in his direction and things seem to improve for a while. It even seems to work when you are out of darts. The sound of the blaster blasting is enough to make our Dan jump and get back to work. Even the sight of the orange coloring on the front of the blaster peeking around his cube wall is starting to be enough to help motivate Dan.All of this comes without any pesky HR interference as the darts are soft enough as to not actually hurt Dan's delicate sensibilities. It's also a good idea to be armed in case of all out office warfare.

Excellent gun for kids. Must buy.
Excellent gun. My 5 year old loves it.Update March 2021 : My boy is 8 now and it's still going strong. He and the other Kids still play with it. All the bullets were lost and I ordered 200 bullet local pack from amazon and bullets work perfectly. 3 years and still working. I can recommend nerf products to be bought with eyes closes especially older well running models.

What a jolt... X3
Feels cheap but definitely a more fun jolt. Only the bottom barrel shoots straight...
