If not for the handle
This is a sturdy tool that is well worth the price for the home cook that doesn't pull out the chinoise twice a week. I have the coarse mesh version and it works very well for any potage. The drawback, and it is not small, is the handle. Very poor design. Gets hot quickly and is just uncomfortable to hold on to. Recommended with caveats.
