Wow! This thing is loud.๐
Firstly; many thanks to the reviewer who recognised the potential weakness in the threaded connection between the horn and the pump.I noticed that mine had already showed some signs of stress (white stretch marks on the outer surface of the red plastic in that area), so I found a suitable fuel hose clip among my various car related boxes of useful things and, after coating the surface of the connection with a little epoxy glue, I tightened the hose clip around the outside of the connecting piece. This morning, the glue had set and that was that dealt with before the cracks could appear, so I confidently gave it a few test strokes and can confirm that the weakness won't show. The thread is still perfectly usable, which is of course the point.Don't, whatever you do, use a conventional jubilee clip though, as they don't tighten evenly because of the rather bulky nature of a jubilee clip's grub screw.Onto the good points then:This thing is very, very loud and that, after all, is what matters. The can doesn't have to be pumped, one stroke of the big red button creates the noise. And there must be some downside to this device, Right? No, as it happens the simple device works brilliantly and I'm not marking it down on the basis of its one potential weakness, because I understood the need to address that rather than letting the plastic crack, so bought this with the other reviewer's wise advice in mind and thanks again to that person for seeing the device from a production engineer's point of view.It may be that spending more would get you a stronger build quality, but a decent, truly circular hose clip and some Araldite - other epoxy resins are available - are much cheaper than a horn which needs a compressed air supply to feed it and I'm always prepared to address such potential weakness in this way and please don't think I'm saying that every one of these will eventually crack, all I've done is anticipated the possibility and I can still recommend the horn.A cable tie might work just as well, but if a job's worth doing.....๐๐

Does the job
Purchased for use as a warning device on the athletics infield. I donโt have the lungs to use a blown device so this is an excellent substitute. Nice and loud, sturdy in construction
