Melissa & Doug On-the-Go Crafts - Sequin Art - Mermaids

My granddaughter really enjoyed this activity book. Included is a great little tool that looks like a colorless crayon. It felt like plastic. It picks up the sequins then you place them on a sticky spot on the page you are decorating. There are only 5 pages but it isn’t a quick finish project. I am so glad I bought one for each granddaughter!

Very cute! My 5 yr old loved doing it. But the glue is not super strong so some sequins kept falling off. We gifted a few so it would be nice to know we’re not gonna litter someone else’s house with sequins. Also the tray where all the sequins are stored is not very convenient, they get staticky and are all over the place and you need to make sure they all lay inside borders before closing or they will fall out. But if you planning to make it and throw away, it’s cute and fun.

My 4 year old daughter is obsessed with these. They keep her super busy, enhance fine motor skills and come out super cute! Not sure how "on-the-go" it is- the sequins can get lost easily. That being said, it is an awesome craft for kids!

Bought this as a gift for a 5 year old and she loved it. Comes with a beautiful arrangement of sequin to decorate your mermaid. A great buy for all girls and mermaid lovers.

Pages are not sticky enough to hold the sequins. Child was really disappointed because despite pressing down hard, the sequins would not stay

Introduced these to my daughter around age 1.5! These are great to have on the go, in the car, shopping or at dinner. I think we have 10 different ones!

My granddaughters are enjoying this project. The inclusion of the waxy crayon-like thing to pick up each sequin works really well. This isn’t the most creative project since there is no imagination involved but it’s an enjoyable project.

My 3 year old loved it. She can't do it on her own, but we did it together and she was extremely happy.

I bought this for a birthday gift for a 6 y/o girl. She opened it while we were there and so I got to see it. It's very pretty! I liked how you could remove the paper by sections so that the whole page wouldn't be sticky or messy. I personally like doing crafts and I kind of wish there was an adult version of this!

We love Melissa and Doug products but this is not as great as we had hoped. It's certainly messy - the book doesn't stay open so you can't store the sequins in the space provided because they get knocked out quickly. It's pretty finicky trying to put the sequins on too.

My 5yo loves this. Great quiet activity to do, easy enough for her to do on her own. Pictures and sequins are vibrant, and no mess (so long as the sequins stay on the table!) as the adhesive is already applied to the pages, right where the sequins need to go.
