Good product
Delivered on time and in excellent condition. Easily installed and works perfectly so far. Used as a secondary unit in 35’ RV and makes all the difference in the world. When the original Dometic goes out I may replace it with a similar unit.

Unit freezes, poor design
Do not buy! Unit keeps freezing up. Upon installation the unut was working but about an hour later it wasnt cooling properly so looked at coil and it was frozen. Contacted customer support and they are useless. Claimed the unit was freezing due to my roof thickness not being enough which is a joke as when you take the cover off and run it on its lowest setting it works perfectly fine. I am an hvac tech by trade, the real issue here is the duct cover is too small and does not allow enough air flow across the evaporator coil which in turn makes the coil too cold and causes the humidity to freeze on the coil hence why it works when the cover is removed (no air restriction).

Please read full review
As stated in the description please read the full review. I gave this unit 4 stars, however, upon initial installation and use I was immediately dissatisfied with it and the air box that I purchased with it. It immediately had problems with short cycling and freezing due to restricted air flow through the air box. It barely get my 18ft camper down to 80 degrees and would freeze up at night so it still wouldn’t get below 80 degrees. However, after sending an email to Furrion customer service voicing my complaints they sent me a new redesigned air distribution box that has completely solved all of my issues, no questions asked my new parts were in the mail free of charge. With the new air box it cools my camper to 66 degrees in the heat of a south Texas July.I am pleased with Furrion’s customer service in getting my issues resolved and am now (after a rocky start) completely satisfied with the AC unit. Not to mention it is considerably quieter than my old Dometic unit.

It's exactly what it says it is.
It was challenging to install this by myself, but I did. Kept it in the box, opened it on the roof. Install was straight forward. It blew cold air and made the cabin comfortable. I have tried it for real but so far I'm happy

Easy install
Installed on my 2012 Gulfstream Conquest. Within an hour it had dropped the temperature in my camper from 85° to mid 60’s. Very easy install and very quiet compared to the old one. Only thing I had to modify was trim the insulation foam a couple inches shorter. My 3000 watt (3500 starting power) generator ran it with ease. Will update as I have a couple more trips planned for the year.

The weak link is the thermostat.
I rarely write a review, mostly because most of my purchases do what they should do. This AC works, and works well, but what a learning curve I went through. Here is what I now know, hopefully it can help others down the road. First, the thermostat I have does not work with this. My existing thermostat ran my furnace and AC. This one uses a proprietary thermostat only and the wires for heat are up in the AC unit where there is no way to use them in the motorhome's furnace location. So now I have one thermostat for heat and another one for AC.Second, the room's temperature sensor is up in the AC unit, not in the thermostat. I was able to relocate the "bulb" part but that is a big job itself.Third, after a couple of months the unit quit. The thermostat was blank so I just bought a new one, but it too was not working (I could get some digits up on the display but that was it). I called tech support and they were very nice. I talked to two technicians and they assigned a case number to me and asked me to provide more information and photographs of my wiring. I sent that in the same day but to this day a week later I have not heard a word from them. I finally gave up on that and just bought another controller which fixed the problem.I should have gone through warranty returns and such but I just wanted the thing to work. If the warranty issues are the same as the technical support I am OK with funding my own repairs.

Do not buy it
Hello, I bought this AC and today I just installed it, I put a domestic air distribution box on it. And it works fine but the compressor turns off every 5 minutes and only the fan blows then the compressor turns on, but it’s crazy every 5 mins .But now , I have the original furrion air distribution box with the black box that is sold separated with all the cables and the wall thermostat. The problem now is that the thermostat displayed E3. I went to and technician and he told me everything is well conected . I’m still trying to get my air fixed but I’m very confused and sad with furrion.I wrote to this seller and told me that I need to contact furrion.I did it and it’s a long claim with a lot steps, plus I don’t have the time for this ,plus they take to long to answer. This sucks because I didn’t installed the ac until this week and just passed the time for the returning. My advice DO NOT BUY FURRION!
