A good solution
After removing a hot water cistern and putting a new combi boiler into the airing cupboard space I was left with an electrical supply to where the immersion switch had been. My electrician converted that to a socket on the inside wall as I had intended to stand a small lamp, with its own on/off switch, on one of the shelves. However, I ended up with a spare under-cupboard strip light from the kitchen which I decided to mount above the door instead. It would normally be powered through the lighting circuit, but this plug with its integral switch has allowed me to use it in the same way as any other overhead light - just reach in and switch on. I’m very pleased with it.

Switched plug.
Order took one day to arrive and was fitted and in use two hours later. Good quality and easy to fit. Must commend K.M.Electronics on their quick service.

great idea to be able to switch items on/off independently saving electricity.
This item also makes a great night light having a switch on it. The white version emits a good amount of light at night in a dark room but if it is thought too bright use the black version which is duller. I would however change the fuse to a ONE AMP FUSE if used purely as a nightlight and cover the cable entry over with tape as a precaution.

Switched plug just what I wanted
I had problems with the delivery of this plug. The first one went missing despite the tracking but the company were helpful and sent a replacement. Once I had it the plug was a good quality and perfect for what I needed. Very happy eventually.

Ideal for extention leads and power tools.
These are excellent switched plugs, nicely built with a large on off rocker switch covering almost the entire top surface of the plug Ideal for those older sockets that don't have an off off switched socket, or on extention leads.

Read or look at the duagram
You need to follow the diagram instructions as it isn't like a normal 13 amp. Just the item we needed for our inline fan, makes it so much easier switching it on and off.

I doubt this meets any UK regs
The plug is light and flimsy. There no markings for Live, Natural or Earth. The rocker part of the plug I received fell out when I opened the plug. It does the job but very poor quality.
