Excellent gas engine
I used this gas engine to replace the old engine on my "Tuffy" rototiller. The new engine bolted right to the frame and started on the second pull. Wonderfully easy to operate, more power that the original 4 Hp B&S engine. What I really like is that this engine comes with a gas cut-off valve under the gas tank that allows me to stop the flow of gas while the motor is still running, and this empties the carburator bowl of gas that has alcohol in it. Then the motor will not attract water vapor into the carb and gum it up and rot the seals and gaskets while the motor is not in use.

Perfect Fit For Older Troybilt Horse Tiller.
I looked around for, on the internet to find out what engine replacement would fit my Troybilt Tiller and found this engine. The price was lowest on Amazon and the package came in perfect condition. It took me no more than an hour to put on my tiller.I did need to buy a bolt to attach my reverse pulley because the treads on the inside of the shaft are smaller than the original.I needed a new engine because the original died, I didn't even realize this would be an upgrade. Its designed much better and starts great. The throttle doesn't work with the original handle control on the tiller but I like this set up better.

Perfect
Bought this as a replacement engine on log splitter. This thing was the hardest to start I'd ever had. Once it got to running it was so rough I thought it may blow up. After a few minutes it smoothed out & ran like a charm.

B&S Builds Long Lasting Engines
This log splitter engine will replace a friends B&S engine they built for a home builder supply chain. It lasted awhile but not the same grade as this one. This engine is taller and vibrates a bit, unit does need a support bar to help keep steady instead of just relying on the 4 mounting bolts. While idling it may just, over time, strain the mounting bolts and snap them off. Planning ahead and common sense in life prevents a lot of future headaches.Safety First is no Accident...

Better than a Predator or Duramax.
Although this is a Chinese made Briggs and Stratton engine, it is still better made than the less expensive Predator or Duramax. I have several of these 900 series engines on tillers and lawn renovators and have had good luck with them. I have tried Predators and Duramax engines, but have had problems with them under harsh conditions (rental equipment).

Easy install -- Nice Engine -- Love it.
I bought this engine to replace the 8 hp POS on my tiller. I love that this one is more powerful and has the electric kill switch. The engine was VERY well packaged and arrived at my door ready to go. Took less than an hour to mount it, put oil and gas in it and pull it...ONCE! It started on the very first pull! I haven't put many hours on it yet, but so far I am extremely pleased with it.
