A very decent mellow sounding guitar
A very well put together guitar. I expected to have to upgrade tuners and the pickup at a minimum. Expected to have to change the strings and intonate. Nope, no need to do any of that. Tuned it up straight out of the box and it played just fine. Did lower the action level a little to my preference but that was it. I’m almost a little disappointed, I like thinking I have to do magic on guitars to make them play well. I might put on some new heavier strings just to do something! It has a very pleasing mellow tone, output is a bit low from the P90 because the pickups are some distance from the strings but just turn up the amp a bit. Doesn’t seem like pickup height can be adjusted easily because the pickguard covers the edge of the pup. There is a bit of hum/buzz from the P90 but nothing unusual for this sort of pup.The tone control adjusts tone down only in the first fractions of a turn probably because they used a log pot instead of a linear one and/or the capacitor needs a different rating. But it is useable and if I want can modify that. Some reviews have commented on tuning issues, to me the tuners felt fine, they are not Grovers, but for the price of this guitar they are more than ok. My guess is people just weren’t used to tuning a guitar with a trapeze - they are just a bit more tricky because each string effects the others as the bridge flexes. The woodwork and finish is very impressive. Frets are good, no sharpness and are a nice height. So really like this guitar, got the deep mellow jazzy tone I was looking for. All of this for under $200. So it doesn’t say Gibson on the headstock and it wasn’t made in the USA. But is that worth literally 10x the price! So this will hang on my wall next to my American made Fenders and Gibsons to remind me that good guitars can be made anywhere and not cost a fortune despite tariffs.

Great Little Hollowbody
I had been controlling myself and patiently watching reviews of this guitar on YouTube until I could no longer resist. No regrets! For just over $200 I feel this guitar is a great deal. The workmanship on the body is very good. Some buyers online complain about the fret work. Maybe I was lucky, but not One sharp fret end, and they were dressed so well and highly polished. Probably one the smoothest fretboards in my collection. Out of the box the action was perfect, just low enough but no buzz. The neck feels great! Some players may want to swap out the P90 pickup, personally I think it has a very nice tone. Im fine with it. As with all of my Chinese or Indonesian guitars I will definitely replace the tuners. They work fine but I prefer something smoother. I purchased the “antique sunburst”, and I’m glad I did. There’s a nice veneer underneath the finish and it has quite a pretty amber glow to it which the photos don’t represent. If you’re familiar with hollowbodies and those with trapeze tail pieces, you’ll appreciate the sustain on this thing. It may not be a thick guitar but it resonates well. Depending on your tone settings you can really dial in a sweet acoustic sound if you were recording or playing live. I’ve yet to run it through my pedalboard, (19 pedals so far), and it sounded great plugged straight into my tube amp, but I can’t wait to do just that and run it through its paces. As many others have stated, they look forward to playing this guitar, and I do too. If you’re a fan of this style of guitar, or P90s, and you don’t want to spend $500-1000, this is a great little guitar for the money. Highly recommend.

Yummy Tone killer guitar
I\nHad one of these years ago when they first came out , I fixed it up with a gibson P 90 bone nut and locking tuners. The guitar was a Beast, absolutely adored it. Amazing tone Super easy to play, just love the look of it, but I gave it to my nephew who lives in Montana and was starting high school Jazz. He loved it is Jazz teacher could believe how good it sounded and played after all these years.I finally got another for myself. This guitar and my strat are switching off constantly for #1 spot, all my other guitars are sitting on the wall collecting dust. This is a really fine instrument. This time I didn't replace anything. I left the stock pick up in stock tuners, stock nut absolutely adore, not just for jazz, banging out amazing blues, riffs and some pretty cool old school rock. Yeah, you got to get this one. If you love guitars and you want something with a completely different tone that just massages your ears when you play, this is your jam.

Grote Jazz
This guitar is surprisingly nice. The guitar sounds great, looks good and is fun to play. There are no blemishes, the fret work is smooth, tuners are holding tune spot on. Out of the box it was setup perfectly, no adjustments were needed. The only issue I could find with the guitar was tuner placement. The holes for the tuners are slightly off.(holes drilled in the headstock) it is very slight but still shouldn’t be. Would buy again.

Great Tone and Playability—Minor Setup Needed
Excellent value hollow-body jazz guitar. This is my second purchase of this model. My first arrived perfectly set up and played beautifully right out of the box.The second needed a basic setup—the bridge position and height required adjustment, and the factory strings weren’t great (I broke the high-E while tuning). These were minor issues and were easily fixed by a luthier for about $50.After setup, the guitar plays and sounds excellent. Overall, I highly recommend it for its tone, playability, and outstanding value.

Great Grote Get!!!
These guitars are hidden gems. I have been playing guitar since I was 13 years old and I’m 64 now. I have a huge guitar collection that includes everything from rare collectibles to everyday players to firewood guitars. For the money these guitars are a great value. Just throw a decent set of tuners on it or live with the stock tuners and adjust the tuning more frequently. Get the action setup and have fun playing. It’s not the greatest guitar but for the money you pay it’s outstanding. I would put this guitar ahead of other much more expensive instruments that I own. I have purchased 4 of these. Three were gifts and I kept one for myself. I highly recommend this guitar… it sounds great and can be played without an amp for practice. Keep in mind that it is a hollow body guitar so it will feedback if played loud through an amp. Good luck and God Bless.

Beyond my expectations
I had been longing for this style of guitar for a long time. Had a Epi Century RI years ago and it was nothing but problems and I ditched it. I saw sooooo many rave reviews for this guitar but couldn't believe a Chinese guitar could have the quality they were claiming. I have to say i'm blown away by the quality of this guitar, Ive been playing and collecting for 42 years, so i'm picky, very picky. The neck is thick but I like it, prob about 21mm at the first fret. The tuners are decent and better than expected, my guess is 14:1 ratio, but I'm be putting on Govers at some point but this are find for now. The nut is actually perfectly cut, and its NOT soft plastic, its very very well done for an import guitar, I expect I would have to change the nut but this is a pro nut. Frets are beautiful, they are level, crowned and polished really well, again I expected I would have to do fret work, nope, none to be done, even the fret ends were perfect. No idea what the fret board wood is, but it looks like rose wood, again no where do they state what kind of wood it is, the inlays are perfectly fitted, no gaps around the inlays, perfect job there too. The body finish is flawless, I can not find a single blemish any where. The pick up sounds fine, infact really good but its way too low for my taste so Ill put a spacer in there to raise it, personal taste not a problem. Will pull the mags on the pick up to see what they come stock with. Pots feel like dime size, not sure if 250k or 500k but i'm guessing 250. Mine also have binding around the F hole, which the pic doesn't show, agian all the the binding is perfect all over this guitar. Overall this is a amazing bang for your buck guitar. Highly recommend this guitar, I waited years to pull the trigger on one of these because I could not believe the hype, but the hype is for real.

Can’t put it down
My wife surprised me with this guitar for my birthday. It is beautiful, light and very resonant, very nice tone even when not plugged in. Like others I thought I would need to do fretwork but that was not the case. I adjusted the truss rod to set the neck to more flat and was able to bring the bridge down considerably with no fret buzz. The saddles were oddly reversed in that the heavier cut grooved three saddles were on the high e, b, and g strings and the thinner cut ones were on the heavier strings. I got this sorted out, put on a new set of strings and properly intonated it. The nut was floating and not glued in place so I rectified this and cut several of the slots a bit deeper for easier fretting. With the new strings I did my simple locking wrap and added nut sauce to the nut and saddles. Now that it has settled in it stays in tune fine. This guitar is an absolute JOY to play now! I really love it, what an incredible value!!

Instrumento.
ÍSa A mi me resultó un instrumento perfecto, tanto en la hechura como en la afinación, y en la potencia de la pastilla.Sólo tuve que cambiar el calibre de las cuerdas para más comodidad personal.Absolutamente recomendable.
