It was great on the plane since it Since I've been back
I bought this jacket to use on an international trip as I was looking for something light weight and pack-able. This came through on both of these marks. It was great on the plane since it Since I've been back, it's become my go-to jacket for just about all 3 season activity. It manages to keep me pretty warm in most situations without needing much under it. Only issues I've had are pocket zippers tend to get stuck in the material fairly often which is annoying, but this is due to the pack-able nature of the jacket so it is forgivable. I'm also not crazy about it saying "compresslite" on the right wrist. I ordered the large first based on other reviews, but found the medium to be the best fit for me (I wear a standard medium in other clothes). There really isn't room underneath for a bulky sweater, but business style cashmere should be fine. Enjoy! I certainly do!

Light weight, warm, and compressible into a small package.
My wife and I bought these to use in Botswana. Nights were definitely cool enough to require a coat, and early morning rides in an open safari vehicle demanded something warm and windproof. Also, weight restrictions of about 26 pounds (12 kilos) and space restrictions on luggage, made this an ideal jacket. It is very light and can be compressed into the accompanying stuff sac so it takes up little room in a backpack or luggage. After returning from our trip, I wore this jacket in the early mornings, which were below freezing, to fetch the newspaper from about 1500 ft away.. I didn't need anything warmer. Be advised that this would not make a good jacket for working outdoors where snags and abrasions are common hazards. The material is light, and strong enough for casual wear.

Good for a low price
Got this for a decent price $35. Been wearing it all winter in Minneapolis except for the few days it went under 5 degrees. with a sweatshirt under this and a t shirt, it can keep you warm down to zero. Nice athletic fit Im 6'1'' 195 and ordered size large. Wouldnt pay more than 40 for this. Better options out there for $70 and up that use primaloft

NO QUALITY CONTROL ON MY JACKET
First, size was small. I wear a large, so I ordered an XL. Fits like a medium. Also, bought it during the hot SF bay area summer, tried it on and put it away. Took it out today and wore it. When I put my hand in the right pocket, the lining was tore at the seam for about 2 inches. A close look revealed the seam was sewn so close to the edge that the two pieces separated easily. Just signed on to report it and found the 30 day return window had expired. Not even an option for comments or contact the seller. Just for insurance, you'd better have a sewing machine and know how to use it. Very sad too, as it is warm, comfortable and packs up fairly small. Also, my option to include a photo is not available. Convenient....

XXL is much smaller than before
Great jacket but the XXL is about 2 sizes smaller than the same jacket I bought two years ago. I can still zip the old XXL but the new jacket version would need about 2 more inches in girth to zip up. Craghoppers should make a XXXL size (and maybe even a 4XL size) if they are going to cut the new jackets so much smaller.I would give it 5 stars if not for the size problem.

Great for travel
I wouldn't go to the Antarctic with this but it does a fine job of keeping you warm in temperatures down to the low 30s and it packs into a small bag that fits in a suitcase or carry-on. It is also water resistant so it is good when it rains.

They should mention that sizes are UK sizes not US
Sizes listed are UK sizes, which I didn't know. Ordered a XXL to go over lighter layer(s) only to discover (from the label on the jacket) that it was a UK XXL but a US only XL and a small one at that. Wish it fit as it does seem to scrunch into small bit.

Absolutely Fantastic
Fantastic jacket! Bought my first one as a last minute grab for a weekend trip to Switzerland because I didn't have anything warm enough. Kept me warm when I was stuck in the Munich train station for a night. Took it with me everywhere while I was studying abroad across Europe in Autumn. Just decided to buy a replacement after several years of heavy use.
