I was told about Beneficial Bacteria on Facebook. It was a good investment. It took two treatments which might have been related to under dosing the first time on my part. It did clear the pond with the barley pellets I purchased with this item.

Excellent algae control
I bought this with nualgi after 20 years of struggling with algae in a well-planted biologically-filtered pond in the subtropics. Algae has been a constant problem despite plants, waterfalls and algae-eating fish -probably due to the warm water. Plus various fish-friendly algicides, none of which ever seemed very effective. Don't know which of the 2 products it is - but used together I have been extremely pleased with my minimal algae. I used nualgi first which was pretty good, but when I added this it was so much better. Haven't tried this product on its own - and really I don't care if the algae volume is so reduced. Actually have to feed the fish! There's a little bit of algae left but in a nature pond there will always be some - which is ok. but it is now easily manageable.

Great! If you are unsure; read this!
I have a koi pond that cascades via a mini aquaduct into two turtle ponds. I had plecos to control the algae but my gardener poisoned them. This left my ponds with thick algae on the walls and rocks (and plecos are now illegal where I live). Added to this, I got an infestation of the long stringy algae and a clumping algae. My ponds aren't large so I used about 1/5 of a teaspoon. The stringy and clumping algae disappeared and the thick algae coating on everything returned to healthy levels. The bottom of the tanks are clean, clean. The dead algae particles sank to the bottom of the tank and were easily pumped out. Also, my fish (koi, goldfish and live breeders for my turtles) were unaffected. This product worked for me beyond my expectations. ALSO: I followed some advice that adding some river material (water and dead) to a fish tank with soil would create natural biome for my fish. Turned out the water was infected and my tank (5 gallon) turned to a toxic brown algae habitat. The plants were rotting and the glass (everything really) was covered in thick brown algae. With no time available (I work away and arrived home to go on mini holiday with family) to clean the tank, I super dosed it with this product and crossed my fingers. When I returned from the beach, the tank was almost clean and the fish looked fine. I swapped 80% of the water, did another slight dose and headed back to work. Not sure whether I affected the fish negatively (though they look ok), but the change in the tank was astounding (it really looked toxic).

broken seal.
Container was only 2/3 filled but I donโt see any spillage in packaging. Perhaps it was already opened , used or returned. Not sure if I could use the product.
