Get it!
You can't go wrong with it, been around for 10 plus years. And don't listen to people saying it's a small block and lacks the power it's got tons of power for the size and weight of this truck and 45mph out of the box without touching the gearing. Plus telemetry. Definitely a nice kit, I have owned 3 of these this new one is by far the best deal with all the telemetry built in. Only con on this is the easy start if you run on dirt the motor will not last but a week. If you drive in clean conditions you will be good. If not go ahead and save the frustration and get a pull start or roto start!

I'm disappointed
Purchased a brand new revo 3.3 nitro and have had numerous issues with it.Roller bearing froze up right after break inStarter battery wouldn't chargeThrottle was sticking open after Traxxas didn't resolve the above issues so I paid to have them corrected out of pocket. The engine failed after 2 1/2 quarts of fuel. Didn't want to wait on Traxxas because I never received the part's that was promised on the first complaint so I purchased a new one and had it installed by a professional hobby shop.Replaced 3 manifolds that were installed by an authorized dealer as well because Traxxas had a bad batch of those as well so now I have to pay for the upgraded one. This truck came out of the box with way too many issues! Now Traxxas wants me to ship it back so I can be without after not honoring any of my complaints. That's bad customer service and I will never purchase from them again. I already have better rc cars and trucks and yeah I fixed worn parts on them but after awhile of driving them. I'm done with Traxxas!!

Quality brand
My husband had an older version of the 3.3, was very impressed with the upgrades and newer version. These fly through our yard, are very durable. They require some self educating on tuning small engines and breaking them in, but nothing the included booklet, youtube, google or Traxxus video can't help you with. Arrive in Traxxus box, so beware if this is a gift.My husband also purchased Nitro gas, extra glow plugs and a flashpoint thermometer.

If you put in the work, it's a SUPER rig! Prerequisite skills required. See review.
They say for your first hobby grade RC car, a nitro vehicle is a bad idea. They might be right.I did and it's worth if if you like to tinker with things. This is a thinking man/woman's toy... sorry, hobby.Be forewarned that RC nitro hobby will not give you immediate positive reinforcement. It will be a process to truly enjoy this platform.---The good:Chassis/Revo platform design is first class. There's a reason why they're still selling these things. There's a reason why there continues to be a lot of long-time users of this platform. Two speed is super fun!Once you get through the steep learning curve of working with nitro, I guarantee you'll enjoy it as much as I have.Aftermarket replacement part ecosystem strong despite being out in the market for more than 15 years now.If you're new to Nitro, EZ-Start is a cool feature. Later, you may want to consider transitioning to a pull start or bump-box.There are plenty of suspension, drivetrain, and engine tuning options available. Note: Can also be a bad thing if you are not experienced with tuning engines and suspension. If you like working on RC cars recreationally, a gear-head, you'll actually enjoy it. The repair and maintenance tasks are not really that difficult. Wrenching away is a great way to pass the time. If you wrench away and prepare properly, you will be rewarded with a good time.----What you need to know:Vehicle requires a LOT... a LOT of maintenance and hard work to keep it running well. If you run this thing hard through rough terrain and dirty environments; and want to keep that going, you'll have to put in the work. It can be overwhelming if you don't know what you are doing. This vehicle requires tuning and constant observation. It's nothing like driving a modern vehicle with electronic fuel injection and computerized cooling systems. Monitoring fuel/air mixture, environmental factors, and engine temperature; then properly reacting to driving conditions with proper tuning, directly affect the experience of driving the vehicle. This process can actually be fun and rewarding. Some "hop ups" and "upgrades" can actually make your experience worse. Tread carefully. There are little/no racing opportunities for this platform in the United States. Primarily a basher-type of vehicle. If you're new to to nitro, the knowledge base for this platform, and for nitro RC in general, is spotty and dated, at best. Best to rely on internet sources from RC racing experts, than random message board/social media discussion boards. The Revo, even though it has evolved from a 2.5CC engine to a 3.3 engine, still leads me to believe that this nitro RC is a bit underpowered for its size and weight. However, it still provides the user a great experience. It's fun.If you consider aftermarket "big block" engines, it's likely you will need a new engine mount. If you do this, you will be required to be creative by modifying chassis and components. Additionally, I have observed some users use overly-powerful engines to the point where they are not drivable anymore; because they are too powerful and are afraid to crash or damage drivetrain parts and do all the work related to it. If you go this route, tread carefully and make informed decisions about this move.---The Ugly:In terms of 3.3 nitro engine and EZ start components, there is room for improvement. At best, quality of OEM engine parts are pricy and of mediocre value. Manufacturer makes it convenient to replace engines at $115, however that makes the user dependent on their high-priced, low-value engines.TRX3.3 bolt-in header is awful. I suggest switching to the spring-mounted header right away.OEM servos are low quality. Their servos have lifetime warranties, and that process is a hassle. I have since moved onto "BangGood Special" servos of similar pricing and higher quality.Maintaining and adjusting to continue to use reverse is not new-user friendly. After much trial and error, I have been able to make mine operational through a work-around.Dual steering servo system was a great idea, but it is pretty finicky. It hasn't been very convenient to maintain such a system. Using a higher-quality single servo layout will make your experience better.Aftermarket support from manufacturer for their own nitro vehicles has been downright terrible for my experience. Manufacturer seems to have a lot of their resources invested on supporting their electric-powered products. Local hobby shops and online hobby shop support teams have been more helpful than the manufacturer themselves.Operating and maintaining RC cars can be a daunting task for many new users. It is not for every one. However, like with anything else in life; if you stick to it, you will be rewarded.Overall, this is a great platform. The hard work and time put into this hobby has been rewarding and enjoyable. I encourage people new to Nitro RC vehicles to give it a shot.

No useful charger! Has a car charger and not wall charger
The worst thing about this is... It comes with a charger for your car!! Not a normal useful charger for your house, your car!! Lol I can’t buy an adapter in town. So I’m waiting for the receiver to charge and the ez start battery to charge off of my car while it is reminding and this will take HOURS! Ridiculous. I’m sure I will love it once I get the wall plug in that I just had to order. But until then it’s just a tease
