HUGE!
Ok - so I got this for Christmas from my husband (asked for a potato masher...he got me one...) but this is enormous. With a family of 4, we don't eat that many potatoes to make this make sense for our household. If you need a workhorse of a masher, this may be for you, but take out two rulers (it's 24 inches high) to see exactly what you're buying. If bigger is better for you - this may be your masher!

I purchased to replace one that was chrome plated which was starting to deteriorate (chrome flaking off) with this stainless steel version.

I find it more comfortable than a large spoon or mash paddle
I use this to agitate grain (~15 lbs) when making home brew. I find it more comfortable than a large spoon or mash paddle.
