Quality wire at a fair price. Works as it should. Be bold, Go for It, Weld it!
I used this in my Harbor Freight 120V mig welder. I typically weld my mower deck, trailer side rails, and mild steel1/4". This works better than HFT brand mig welding wire. Package is thick durable and air tight. Treat your self, buy this affordable quality wire. Don't let me catch you welding in shorts and sneakers. Don't weld indoors. Protect your health. With all the money you are saving by doing it DIY, you can now get the proper PPE right here on Amazon. Happy Welding.

Good wire, priced right
New spool for a new flux core welder. It feeds smoothly, without binding or unspooling, and burns well. I'm still tweaking the welder, but at this point it seems to have a good melting point and welds with decent spatter control and no tip burn or fouling. As we know, the versatility of flux core makes it preferable to stick or gas-shielded welding for some positions, and outdoors where wind can affect the gas. Right out of the box it seems a bit brittle, but I've found 0.030 flux core to often be that way. By the time it's loaded and run through the cable it's fine - just handle it gently until then. This wire comes vacuum-packaged in a foil wrapper to protect it from rust and contamination. Better packaging than some competitors, which can arrive with light surface rust or oxidation that can affect the quality of welds. And the price is right - about half the price you'll see at the big home improvement stores. Based on the many positive reviews, this might just be the preferred wire for beginners and for experienced welder alike. One thing I wonder about is the thickness of the spool itself. On my new welder it seemed to have a little extra thickness, enough that the spool, tension spring, spacer, and washers left too little room for the tightener wingnut to engage the spindle's threads. Might be an isolated problem, but if so you'll need to find a workaround.
