Good quality, hand woven and sewn with like hundred grade fishing line 3 times. You are really supporting actual people with this purchase. My job as a delivery driver puts a lot of pain on my back which has slipped disc. This helps with circulation and posture, the top part is great about going in between your shoulder blades which is where my arthritis is. It definitely slid around at first and some of the string ends popped out from where they were tucked but all together it's held really well considering how much I'm coming in and out of my car. This is the best way to tie them btw.

I really like how this looks. The bean color is really attractive. I have experienced the rope coming undone and the beads falling off after a couple years of use. I repaired it with new rope that’s similar and it wasn’t an issue. It definitely helps with back pain and glute pain for long road trips. Problem solved with this thing. Only complaint is that it snags my hair often

These beaded seats are excellent for my topless jeep in summer, they keep you off hot vinyl or leather seats/ covers, keep you off the seat if your wet (swimming/lake days) and allow you to "roll slide" across without getting stuck when you have a lifted rig to climb into. I had some 30 yrs ago with my first YJ and decided to get more for my 4th YJ. HOWEVER the string that came with them was utterly short, slippery, wouldn't hold a good knot, and broke within a week or two, and not enough of them.... had like 2 12" strings for each seat, so could only tie the top leaving the bottom loose... which made them uselessly fold or slide out from under me. I ended up storing the beaded covers due to breakage. Next year I'll use my own string. Fingers crossed the actual beads will hold up on their own. They are built with a thick vinyl type string (braided through the beads).

This sweet heavenly beaded cover is the next best thing to staving off sweat dripping down my back and into my buttcrack. I drive a classic BMW with leather seats which is undergoing an air conditioning conversion from R12 to R134a which means I am without any cool air blowing at the current moment. My drive home from work in 90+ degree F weather causes my body to heat up and begin to perspirate a great deal, especially on my lower back as there is absolutely no circulation and leather traps the heat right there. Any commute longer than 15 minutes required me to bring an extra shirt or drive shirtless. This is less than ideal. So, looking into options to add venting to my seats came up with a price point of over a few hundred dollars and would require changing my seats to perforated leather to allow airflow. So, next best thing: beaded seat covers. Double bonus: I don't get sweaty back and buttcrack and since my car is an 80s model, it fits the timeframe. First initial test with these sweet babies was unlike anything I had ever felt during a commute before. It was great; a miniature massage on my back and my glutes. The only thing that I would say is a downside is that it added another inch or so to the seat height and pushed me forward an inch. My car has sport seats with side bolsters intended to keep you from sliding sideways during hard turns. So, being that my car is a sports car intended to be driven hard and fast through corners, this caused me to slide over and feel less than planted. So, for you guys driving boring cars with large cushioned seats (a la Chevrolet and Ford, etc), this will be fine since I highly doubt you're taking flat 90 degree turns at 40+ mph. Anyway, until I get my air conditioning sorted out, this will fit the bill.

I got these because my back gets really hot sitting on my cars synthetic leather seats. The beads are really comfortable and allow some space between my back and the seat, and it definitely helps keep me cooler. Installation is very easy, take of your headrest, position the beads and re-insert the headrest through the beads and that's it, you may need to adjust to get the beads where you need them. The surface area isn't very big, it doesn't cover the entire seat really, but it still works well. The beads come with a few strings to secure them to the seat, but I never use them. The beads move around a bit, I just adjust the position when I first sit down and that works. Ive been using my first beads for a few months and they seem to be holding up well, and I just got a second set for the passenger side, as my wife likes the feel too. This is a good product, inexpensive, that I would recommend!

Update: April 2017. -the beaded seat cushion we bought July 2016 is still in great shape. We like it so much that we bought another. Unfortunately the one we just received was definitely not as well made. Beads were very loose and string ends hanging out all over. We got rhe same brand as before but it came from different vendor. In line with current practice, the vendor sent emails asking if everything was ok & to let them know if there was a problem. I responded that we were disappointed that it wasn't made as well as the first one and wanted to return it. The seller then gave me the number to Amazon's customer service & told that since Amazon fulfilled the order, we needed to contact them. Not surprising, Amazon's customer services was great & took care of everything. Meanwhile I keep getting emails from seller asking me to write a review for the product. Here it is! No longer recommended. July 2016: We have leather car seats and although they look great, they are very hot in the summer don’t seem to breathe. I’ve tried other types of car seat cushions and they weren’t comfortable or kept shifting underneath. The wood beaded seat is the best. We spent 12 hours in the car one day and 6 hours the next and I never got uncomfortable. We have a 2014 Hyundai Sonata and the beaded seat fit fine. We did not tie the strings that came with it, just put the posts for the headrest through the beads and it stays in place. I definitely recommend it.

Eine super Sache mit den Perlen, kein Schweiß am Rücken, angenehme Luftzirkulation. Aber leider gehen diese Teile immer so schnell kaputt, bei bisher allen Marken. Ich brauche immer alle 4-5 Monate ein neues, was eigentlich unnötig wäre, wenn sie stärkere Schnur verwenden würden.

Keeps me cool easy to pu on seat a few split beads on opening which I thought might drop off but they haven’t deteriorated so no problems. I’m in my 4x4 everyday in & out and although you have to make sure your positioned on the beads squarely as you get in, there has been no breakages and it’s been 4 weeks so far.
