The tape measure is good and easy to read, but when you engaged the lock mechanism, the tape still retracts back, which is very annoying and frustrating, as you have to hold it in place with your fingers.

Sturdy enough, but the button to slide to hold the tape in place at a chosen measurement doesn't work at all, so you can't stop the tape from retracting withouth pinching it with thumb and finger at the base of the measure. Annoying, as this was not a cheap item.

It would be a good bit of kit except it doesn't lock in place so it's a 2 person job for big areas!
