First, there's one bit of false advertising in the images with this item: it shows "1M" stenciled in white at the top of the sand timer. The timer I received did not have this, but it's obviously super easy to just write 1M on both sides with a Sharpie or gel pen, so this is a very minor issue.The sand timer itself is a very pretty item, and extremely precise if used correctly (more on this in a bit). The blue sand is easy to see at a distance -- much easier than the white sand timer that I've been using for several years. The interior glass is precisely made and the outer acrylic is clearer and more fingerprint-resistant than on any other small sand timer I've seen. This is surprisingly important for board gaming use, which is where I need this kind of timer. In board game use, it's very common to flip and flip and flip a sand timer 40 or 50 times during a two hour game so the timer being resistant to this kind of constant touch is important.Which leaves the timing itself, which as I said is quite precise! When I used it correctly, the timer produced times all within a second or two of one minute, sometimes a second or two less, sometimes a second or two over. This is the sign of a very precise sand timer: what errors that exist are balanced out over multiple uses. It does have a quirk, though: you can't just flip it over and expect it to work. Once you flip it over, you need to give it a pretty good shake or tap to start the sand falling. For this reason, it's more useful to board gamers like myself than it would be for kids.A good product! Does what it says on the tin, and looks quite nice while doing it.

This 1 minute timer is reasonably accurate after testing it a few times. It has multiple functions but our use for it will be for kids brushing teeth and for gaming use. It is reliable (the sand falls well each time) and is worth a couple bucks for the use you will get out of it!

It's eye catching and attractive but the quality was a little disappointing. It is plastic and not glass. Feels cheap to the touch. Pricey for what you get

I've always wanted an hour glass and this one is perfect! I love it! Well made and looks just like the picture.
