I noticed the ingredients have changed.  What used to be the first ingredient is now much further down the list others are missing - why the change ?

In 2000 our quality control advisor, Dr. Richard Ko, recommended we use common names to identify the ingredients on the GingiPhase label as opposed to the botanical names. That required us to change the names of 7 of the 14 ingredients in GingiPhase.

He also recommended that we list the ingredients based on the quantity of each starting with the largest amount first down to the ingredient with the least amount last. This was also a change as the previous label listed the botanical names alphabetically. Both alphabetical and quantity ordering of ingredients are acceptable to the FDA, but Dr. Ko suggested quantity ordering can be more useful to our customers.

The number of herbs in the GingiPhase herbal supplement has remained at 14 even though the label changed per Dr. Ko’s recommendations. It is the same exact formula as previously with the same effectiveness.

Please note that any of the Tango formulas may change in the future due to worldwide unavailability of various ingredients because of climate change affecting herb growing.

To the manufacturer:  What is Gallus gallus domesticus?  Why is it included in this formula?

Gallus gallus domesticus, also known as Ji Nei Jin, is a common Chinese herbal remedy traditionally used to treat indigestion, night sweats, gallstones, kidney stones, bladder stones, etc. Gallus is derived by processing, heating and grinding a thin membrane lining the gizzard of the domesticated chicken, Gallus domesticus Brisson, into a fine, purified powder. In addition to a wide range of enzymes, amino acids and trace minerals, Gallus is also a rich source of carnosine, a dipeptide comprised of two amino acids, beta-alanine and histidine. Carnosine is an important nutrient and antioxidant, backed by numerous published studies detailing a wide range of health benefits, including supporting cognitive, cardiovascular and kidney function, just to name a few. There are no natural plant sources for carnosine, which is only found in animal-derived foods such as meats, fish and poultry.

Gastric reflux is a common contributor to periodontal and gum damage and is significantly associated with chronic periodontitis. In addition to its powerful antioxidant activity, Gallus is included in GingiPhase based on its ability to improve digestion and dampen digestive distress associated with acid reflux.

how long did it take till you saw results?

I used the product for six months.....althogh during part of this time, for about 6 weeks, I took only 1 pill a day.  I really can't say that I have noticed any change in my oral health.  In fact, I'm not sure how to measure improvement.  I have to admit that I have major issues with bone health.  My problems may simply be too great for any herbal supplement.
