Near perfection
I almost passed on this one. I mostly use cast iron, but needed a lightweight pan for tomato based sauces and scrambled eggs. I use this pan every day. I expected it to be flimsy and light but it has good weight on the bottom and it is very steady on my range. I only have ONE con - These pots are not what they used to be. They develop (minor) stains that look like pitting on the inside that I cannot get rid of. Other than this, they would be perfect. If anyone has a solution for this PLEASE tell me. Bar keepers did not get rid of the spots. -- The handles need to be tightened once in a while with a screw driver. Not a problem. ...... 10/23/14 UPDATE: I burned the heck out of this pan the other day (clean and empty) by accidentally leaving it on a burner that I thought was turned off. Not just any burner, but the front high BTU one. I almost cried. It was blue when I found it and I thought it was ruined. BUT after scrubbing it repeatedly with Bar Keepers Friend it slowly came back to normal. I fully expected the bottom disk to fall off as had happened with a SITRAM pan I had. (Yeah, I can be brutal with my pans.) I do take care of them other than this flaw I have of getting distracted when I am heating a pan to cook (busy family). The inside got a awful dark grey mixed with burned blue steel color (I swear that the aluminum middle must have melted) and I almost threw it out, but repeated polishings using the bar keepers and a damp paper towel finally got it so it was presentable and although still slightly darker on the inside its a nice even stainless color again. The bottom is solidly still on and it does not appear to be warped at all. and the rest of it is still shiny. The handle did not melt as it was not touching the flame. This is a great pan. BUY IT.

cheap pan but great quality
This pan gets used daily and has held up very well. I use it for making re-fried beans on taco night and it had worked well for my needs. The pan is on the cheaper side but it holds up well during all the use I give it. The handle fits well in my hand and the pan seems to heat evenly what more can you ask for with a low cost pan

Fits INSIDE our vintage Farberware skillet
Like many hoping to replace a 30 or 40-year-old Farberware skillet with the straight sides, this skillet fits wholly inside my old skillet, the diameter a quarter-inch smaller but the sides deeper. The actual cooking surface of this skillet is maybe a hair over 9" across, while the surface of my 35-yo skillet is pretty close to 9.25". That translates into a significant actual difference in surface real estate if you're sautรฉing mushrooms or cooking foods that you want to lay flat in the pan--a factor that happens to be important to me. The skillet still has those nice straight sides, almost a quarter-inch deeper than my old skillet's sides so I could comfortably bubble the same amount of a saucy dish like marinara. It's actually several ounces heavier so feels good and sturdy. Same problematic handle attachment (my husband fixed mine by using a thread locker on the screw so the handle no longer wobbles). The change in dimensions from my favorite old skillet and the same handle attachment are making me consider returning it. I rated it 5 stars because it's a great basic skillet even though it will not replace my old one in my cooking rotation as I'd hoped.
