Great fire starter, which actually works and fits any SAK with a corkscrew!
If you are a bushcraft, or outdoors, or survival enthusiast, or you simply like to be prepared, you should give these a look. As my EDC knife I carry my trusty old Victorinox Compact. small, thin for comfortable pocket carry, and my particular SAK kit came with the grey Phillips screwdriver insert, which fits nicely into the corkscrew. But there is an empty unused space under it and that is where this fire starter comes in!You gently insert it into the corkscrew all the way in (it fits perfectly - but be careful, this is not plastic, it's wax afterall and can be easily crushed with finger strength), then you insert the official SAK screwdriver to lock it in and that's it! Now you carry a waxed cotton inside the corkscrew, to make emergency fire with when needed. To fully complement this setup, you should also consider the miniature ferro rods they sell here (also FireAnt branded). They are designed to replace the toothpick tool and fit perfectly inside the scales (their head actually glows in the dark). Now, you have tinder, a ferro rod, and all you need is a striker. I modified my SAK Compact - the little notch under the bottle opener tooth is officially a wire stripper, but I took a small round file to it, under an angle, and sharpened it from both sides, to create a nice edge. Not only is it a much better wire stripper now, it also can (and will) throw a spark from the ferro rod... See the pic of my modification, not the tinder itself. I believe every SAK should be modified like this. It's a no brainer. Because now I don't have to worry having nothing to strike the ferro rod with. I'd never use the knife blade itself = first it's totally unsafe and a recipe for an ER visit, but second, why to ruin your sharp blade with a ferro rod? Hence, all my SAKs, which have a wire stripper notch, have been modified. It takes all but 5 minutes to gently file them into a nice sharp edge. The great news is: this tinder setup will fit any standard SAK with a corkscrew, so you don't need a Compact. I used this on my large Forester and also on my Huntsman. It's a nice thing to have for outdoors. urban EDC? not so much, but if you hit the woods, give this a consideration. Will it replace a 6" uberleben ferro? Of course not. Will it work in a pinch when you have nothing left, but your SAK in your shirt pocket? It as well may. It's a fire source. And no, I don't have a Swiss Army Knife buying syndrome. I think....

Great tinder.
Great for keeping on Swiss Army knife. Works great. Fits perfectly. I’ve carted it on my SAK for a while and it has lasted. Very durable. Somewhat expensive, but not totally unreasonable for limited market.

Have a knife with cork screw? BUY IT!!!
Every Swiss Army Knife or multi tool with a cork screw need to have this! This waxed tinder device is freaking AMAZING 😍 just pull it apart slightly and it'll catch a spark easily and get your fire lit in no time, a huge advantage and a must have when dry tinder is scarce I've used these since they first came out and I'll never enter the forest without a few of these on me.

Another great after market mod
Compliments the striker rods that replace your Victorinox SAK toothpick well. You may want to wrap a piece of protective tape around your corkscrew though if your knife gets a lot of wear in your bag or pocket so they don’t come unraveled.

Works if you know what to do
This is one for the boy scout crowd. You know who you are. (Hikers, Backpackers, extreme campers, back country explorers, mountain bikers who like to go deep!)Most likely you will never need this, but if you do you will glad you brought it. You also need a flame source or a Ferro rod and striker (Swiss army knife has several good choices, and even some crazy modifications that work. Look up Felix Immler on You Tube). These are designed to fit into the corkscrew of your Swiss army knife, to be available for fire starting without kindling wood out in the wild. They are very effective in starting a small fire with which to build a larger campfire.Watch a YouTube video and then try it in your backyard fire pit before going out there!A very good but very niche product.

Worth it
Great fire starters

GOOD TINDER
These work well as do the other products from Tortoise Gear. A little pricey so use as an emergency backup and place shrink tube over the coil to keep it clean and safe from undesirable wear. I like .
