I’m very happy with this hose reel. It’s incredibly convenient — no more bending down, manually winding up the hose, or dealing with a tangled hose after using it. Just pull out the length you need, and when you’re finished, it retracts neatly back into the reel. It makes watering so much easier and faster. So far, I’m very happy with my purchase. I just hope the quality and durability are as good as the convenience, and that it will last me at least several years!

We finally broke down and but a retractable reel. Wish we did it sooner because this has really improved our garden experience. Only thing I wish was different was rather than having an in-built leader hose I wish the just had a metal fitting where you could attach your own because I would've preferred a plain black leader hose for aesthetics, but it's not a deal breaker at all, just would've preferred something like that. Also would make it an easy fix down the road should something happen with the in built leader hose. We mounted this to a 6x6 pressure treated hose that we concreted in. Only had for a couple weeks, but we love it. Hoping that this holds up, but overall I think the price is fair compared to others on the market and the quality seems to be pretty good. We live in New England, so we'll definitely be over wintering it in the garage, which is easy because you can lift the unit right out of it's mount. Again, wish we would've bought this sooner after all the years of coiling up the hoses and tripping over them.

This is my third purchase of the Gardena self-rewinding 100’ hose reel. Great product. High quality. Very large capacity. Simple installation, even on a brick side wall. The secret is to drill the holes in the Mortar NOT the brick itself! Use the provided lag bolts and anchor inserts. Don’t make the whole too big. Let the water drain out of the hose by first turning off the water, then open the nozzle and retract. The water will empty out and make it lighter with less strain on the mount.

FANTASTIC!!! I have been gardening for decades. My husband has a garage next to my garden, and he has always left his hose in the driveway, run over it, and it gets holes in it from the stone driveway. So...he always takes MY garden hose, which he also leaves in the driveway and runs over and gets holes in. That means I have to buy new garden hoses several times every year if I want one without holes in it. NOT ANY MORE! This hose is wonderful, BOLTS to my side porch by the garden, and as soon as I'm done using it to water my vegetable garden, all I have to do is give it a gentle tug and it RETRACTS AND ROLLS RIGHT BACK UP where it belongs, safe and sound! I already told my husband I'm getting one for him for fathers' day, so he can mount it to the garage! :D

Good hose for a year but the bottom of it popped off recently when I turned it on. The ends are plastic so I think the pressure eventually got to it. I was able to screw it back on but try and get a metal end piece. Customers service has been quick to reply to me! At this price point it should last longer than 15 months. Go with a different brand.

I originally bought one for my dad to use with his greenhouse because he was tripping over his rolled up hoses on the ground. While the instillation isn't difficult it is heavy and needs to mounted securely to a post in the ground, likely a 4x4 with a 2x6 mounted to it for best instillation and function (this is how we did it). This does take some work but was totally worth it when mounted. He loves this hose and reel and has raved about it every time he is out in the garden working. It has been two years now and it still reels back quickly and well without any issues. It is a much cleaner look and overall is much better than all the rolled up hoses. The hose seem durable and has thus far had no issues with cracks or leaks. Just makes sure in the fall if you live in a cold weather area you blow the water out of the hose and it seems to last just fine. As I said he has loved this so much I just bought a second for my own yard and thus far love it. I will likely be buying more in the future.

Update: the hose reel now leaks from the casing. The hose still works, but water constantly drips even after purging the hose. Would not recommend. I'll start with why I deducted stars. First off, there was only one quick adapter in the box, instead of 3 as advertised. There's also no retaining pin for the swivel post. Not totally necessary, but should still be included. Lastly, while installation is easy, the instructions should be more informative by including a tools required section so customers don't have to figure it out on their own. If it helps anyone, mine required a 1/4" masonry bit to drill out the holes (anchors weren't necessary) and a 10mm socket to sink in the bolts. Because of this and my experience with other hose reels, I can't grade this anything above average. The hose itself seems like a good product. Quick attachments don't leak, great pressure even when fully coiled, and the included spray nozzle works perfectly fine so far. The reel swivels and retracts smoothly. I also appreciate the level-wind to prevent the hose from bunching up on one side of the reel. It will see a good amount of sunlight throughout a typical day in southern California, so I'm hoping the UV resistance holds up. I would gladly add a star for every 5 years I get out of it.

This is one of those rare products that looks and performs exactly as it is described and depicted in the product videos. I needed a hose to fill and clean several bird baths that are thirty feet from the deck. I also wanted it to hose down the deck. This lightweight hose is perfect for those tasks, and when I’m done using it the retraction mechanism works smoothly and easily. The unit swings 180 degrees and is hardly noticeable mounted under the deck. It is easy to install with common hand tools. The drilling guide for the mounting bracket is printed on one of the box flaps that is perforated to make it easily removable. Hardware is packaged individually for different types mounting surfaces. Remember to allow four inches of clearance if you plan to mount it under a deck as I did; this allows for the swivel post to be inserted in the bracket. Now I have to tidy up under the deck!

We are shocked as just installed and now its not going back. All the hose pipe is out and we dont know how to roll it back. it just goes in 2 m and rest is still out. pls help us. After spending top dollars, this sort of product is delivered. We paid the plumber too SGD 150 to install, change tap and hoped that product will be good.but its really bad product.

Love the retractable hose and the fact that it’s on a swivel. 100ft is perfect to meet all of my gardening needs. Easy to install - durable - easy attachments - love this product!
