Korg PA300 61-key Arranger Workstation Keyboard Bundle with Knox Double X Stand ,Bench ,Headphones and Dust Cover

Well, I've loved Korg arrnagers ever since I had the MicroArranger. I had to reduce my review of the MicroArranger to 4 stars when I found out about the design flaw in the joystick, where there are wires moving around without any strain relief, but I think if they fixed that, there would be no contest, and I wouldn't have gotten this beauty (Pa300.)I like the kit, but haven't found the headphone adapter yet; I still don't know if they work, but I'm hoping they do. The stand is top-notch, and so are the dust cover and the stool.This keyboard isn't as accessible as the Microarranger, so I'd still recommend that one to the visually handicapped people who can't read the LCD screen. all of their better keyboards rely heavily on a touch screen, so this isn't really a complaint on my part.The sound is beautiful, the speakers are very powerful and high-quality, the manual is very good and detailed, the operating system appears to be still in support (I just installed 1.6.0 today and got a fix for the 1-finger major chord thing,) and there are a lot of styles around for the PA series. My Microarranger styles and programs work perfectly on the Pa300, and all the demo songs from the MicroArranger play beautifully.I miss auto-fade! Korg, please put this back in when doing a future update!Excellent musical instrument! Highly recommended.UPDATE 2/24/2016I think I lost the headphone adapter, but I had another one around. The headphones are about as good as my little Koss/RadioShack titanioums but closed-ear headphones. I prefer the open ones, especially since I've had to be attentive to a sick person's needs while I practice. Still, they are fine headphones considering they didn't raise the price of the kit above the price of the keyboard alone from other sellers.I also figured out that I can use the CD from the MicroArranger to load any program from that unit into user banks on the Pa300, and they sound fine. I would have to check, but last I was on their site, you could download the musical resources from the MicroArranger to get access to those programs. I've also loaded all my user styles and some of the MicroArranger styles onto this keyboard, but with mixed results; I think they may have moved around some drum kits, for example, because BasicBossa from the MicroArranger has different precussion on the Pa300. However, I think if I loaded the appropriate kits over, or maybe found the exact one had been moved, I could fix this.I believe one drawback of the Pa300, however, is that my 2-pedal foot switch won't work like it should with the Pa300, whereas it did with the MicroArranger. I find this to be a sad mistake on the part of the Korg designers; they could have at least used a stereo jack for the foot switch, so we could have the dual functionality back. Or maybe I'm missing something. I will update when I find out.Still, 5 stars. I'll just go to a single foot switch, and keep the dual switch for the M3, or the Microarranger (which has been fixed.)

I purchased my Korg PA300 in March 20115 and love it. Had a hiccup but Korg has the best Customer Service I have seen in awhile. They replaced my unit and am back playing again. Other brands make good units too but for my money it is Korg all the way, great products and greater customer service wins me over every time. Easy to use and play with a lot of options you will learn and use over time. Sound reproduction is spot on, I played the Flute sounds while my Wife played her real Flute, could not tell the difference and both instruments were in key all the way through the notes. Cannot ask for more than that in my opinion. Would recommend this to anyone buying in this price range or save some more money and don't settle for anything less. Yes, I know this is a glowing review for Korg and the PA300 but this is my view and I am not being paid to say this. it is what I truly believe. Signed: Chuck Mayzak OR.
