PanasonicKX-TGL432B Dect_6.0 2-Handset Landline Telephone, Black

My Mom's old Panasonic phone died recently, so I bought her this one as a replacement. The dual handsets work out great; she has one by her favorite spot on the sofa, and another one in the kitchen. If this unit survives as long as the last one, she should never need to buy another landline phone (the whole landline system will probably go obsolete soon enough anyway.) Well worth the price.

I liked the new white background on the screen and the back bump phone rest to angle the phone for easier viewing was nice.Also the call button now toggles the speaker phone. Nice touch too.

This set was a replacement for one that was taken out by lightening. The sound is good and it was easy to set up. I don't use the answering machine part as I have voice mail. I didn't realize I had the talking caller ID on and the voice surprised me! I did cancel that. Good phones for the money.

I wanted the phone to be muted, I set phone to NO ring but it rings Have to exchange for something else

I ordered this phone cause the other one I had was not clear at all. I love the talking caller ID & the call block feature. It’s very clear but still not sure how to use all of the features yet but that’s ok it’s really a nice phone & works good for me.

Generally happy with these phones ( Panasonic KX-TGL432B Dect_6.0 2-Handset) after using them for several weeks. They're comfortable to hold and work well enough. I was disappointed, however, to find that the answering machine portion does not have a display screen to show how many messages are stored or waiting. This information shows in the screen on the phone, however, but it's not as convenient and is difficult to see compared to having it displayed on the answering device itself. Also, the address book only displays one entry at a time, requiring scrolling down until the entry you're looking for is located. However, entries can also be found by pressing the number key for the first letter of the name, once or several times, depending on the first letter of the name, and then scrolling to find the specific name you're looking for, I have just recently discovered, however, that I'm having a problem with making entries and edits to the names. Some letters are not "releasing" to allow further entry or spacing. Very frustrating. Cheap key board, I'd imagine--or bad software?. Otherwise, the phones are proving to be a good replacement for our old corded wall phone. But some improvements in the areas described would make them much more user friendly. I don't know if the failure of the keyboard entries will get progressively worse, but if they do, I may have to send them back. :-( Because of this, the rating should be 3 1/2 stars.

This is a good basic phone with answering function that does not take up a lot of space. Good voice quality and easy to set up if you are used to multi function phones. I'm not sure that the shoulder rest is right for the intended job but it does make it easier to get a good grip on the handset.
