TiVo Slide Pro Remote for TiVo BOLT DVR

I like this remote very much. It is laid out just like the standard remote, except that it is a bit shorter so the buttons are closer together. They are not too close, though. I love the backlight. When you hit a button, or slide it open to use the keyboard, it lights up. Very handy in a dark bedroom.ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: The remote must be set up using Tivo's remote settings and it must also be PAIRED with your Bolt. I thought mine was defective because I set up the remote to control the tv power, volume and mute, but when I slid it open to type...no response. Then I read the directions! Same setup menu on the Tivo, paired the remote, worked perfectly after that.So if the keyboard doesn't work and the light at the top of the remote is endlessly blinking, you need to pair. Enjoy your remote.

The way the keyboard interacts with the Tivo interface is awkward.There is noticeable lag in typing.It seems like when you press a key the remote is sending arrow keys to navigate to that key on the onscreen keyboard, selecting it and entering it.Also the back key doesn't work like you'd expect. Instead of backspacing it backs up to the previous screen.

This remote is a must have for the new lineup of Tivo products. Nothing bothers me more than having to use the key pad to try and "type" in words and text when logging into something, or searching for something. This sturdy little guy just slides right open and you can type away as if you were texting on your cell phone. As simple as can be and I have not experienced any flaws yet. Just do yourself the favor and pick this up, you won't be sorry.

I had been using an older slide remote but found it did not work well with the integrated streaming services. Buying this new remote, and can easily, and correctly, navigate services. BTW, it was very easy to setup, although I fumbled a little, since I did not read the instructions.

Recognized by my Tivo Bolt + immediately with no fuss. Makes search a breaze. Great 2nd or replacement remote.My wife and I no longer nudge each other for the remote, we both have one. Great item. Decent Price.Came quickly in the mail, and was adequately protected in the packaging.

A bit smaller, thicker and heavier than the original remote. Purchased for back-lit key feature - works great. Have not tested the keyboard interface yet. Easy setup and great RF connection to Tivo. Plan to purchase a second for my other Tivo.

Generally pleased with this item and can recommend the remote. It is smaller than the original, but it has some good features. I mainly bought it for having a keyboard, and to combine multiple remotes into one. The backlight feature is nice too.

I love this remote. It also has a learn feature for a select few buttons which is great to run my soundbar with my tv and tivo bolt.
