(JUST) Long enough
Strong and heavy. (it is 1/2inch thick!) Originally thought this chain was too short. I wanted to be able to wrap it around the bike frame and through the back wheel and to the bike rack. Then I also have a small u-lock to lock the front wheel to the frame. But I took it around to 4 stores with bike racks and it is (JUST) long enough for most of them. One I wasn't able to lock up the back wheel, just the frame. I wish Abus would put 2 more links in this chain. As of right now I am considering the Schlage 3ft. I will update.

This is the real deal
Most chains will keep out an honest theif, but this is obviously designed to keep out a whole lot more. Only downsides is that the chain is very, VERY heavy for its size and wouldn’t be good for locking up a bike. It also means you need a lock with an ~11mm shackle or else the lock will be useless in comparison. I had high expectations and yet was still impressed by how brawny and tough this chain feels. Great quality and worth every dollar. The pictures do not do any justice to show just how thick this chain is.

Solid build chain and yes, heavy
I see some reviews complaining that it is heavy, but isn't that the reason this chain would be effective? That being so I wouldn't recommend this as a bike chain you carry around, you would be better off with a more portable one that mounts to the frame. However this seems like a good option for storage of bikes in the bike locker room or if you needed to chain something up like a gate, BBQ, I would even use this on my motorcycle. The heavy duty cloth jacket seem quite sturdy and protects you items from being scratched. I own several Abus products they are all really well made, nothing feels cheap.

Awesome but heavy
I use this chain combined with a good padlock when I need extra security for my bicycle. It works well and I feel secure - my only problem is that it's quite heavy, so I don't use it as often as I would otherwise. My day-to-day lock is a smaller Kryptonite lock mounted on the frame.The 2-foot sizing of this chain is just about right to go around your bike frame, one tire, and a metal post or bike rack.For attaching it to your bike, I wrap it around my pannier rack and it doesn't move around at all.
