NUCO Organic Coconut Wraps, Original - Gluten Free, Low Carb, Vegan, 5 Ct

10/10 Recommend! It’s pliable, palatable, and it doesn’t tear when being filled with sauced fillings which usually happens with flour tortillas or other “gluten-free” tortilla alternatives. I meal prep and as a newly post-partum mom- making foods I can grab and go or eat with one hand while nursing is a game changer. I hate making a wrap or breakfast burrito only for the filling “juice” to run down my hand/arm/shirt. I don’t get a lot of down time to cook with the new baby but when I do, I need something reliable, quick and healthy. Everything I eat, goes into my baby so keeping clean is important to me. I’ve been using these for a week and so far it’s worked well with scrambled eggs/ hash browns/ sausage, dairy free yogurts (which tend to be more watery), sautéed veggies/ lamb, duck, and tofu scrambles. The flavor is mild with no aftertaste and is surprisingly not “coconutty” like what I was expecting. Plus with Amazon delivering them to my front door so I don’t need to spend time in the grocery store- it’s pretty great. They are each separated with parchment paper- so no worries about them sticking together and tearing like what can happen with other products. FYI- don’t refrigerate or freeze. It says it on the bag, but being chilled makes it less pliable and since it’s shelf stable, it holds well though we use them often enough to not worry they will spoil. 5 come in a bag but Amazon sells them as a 10 count 2 pack, which helps maintain the freshness.

Soooo I am on a healthy raw food diet journey. Who doesn’t love a good wrap? Tried these hoping for the best and these did not disappoint! They are fresh, lightweight and very tasty! An added bonus would be if they were larger for my veggie loaded wraps. Highly recommend for anyone as they are healthier.

As someone who has been on an extremely bland and restrictive diet for nearly a year I feel like I have a pretty low bar for things that taste good, and these are not it. I got these thinking I could make some taco wraps, but boy was that a mistake. The second I put salsa on these they ripped right apart. They're also impossible to fold or roll and have them stay closed. I tried multiple times heating them in pan but it just gets crispy and doesn't close. Then there's just the taste and texture. I'm not generally someone bothered by texture, but these are like a crispier fruity leather basically. Taste wise, you can definitely still taste coconut, which I had anticipated, so that's not necessarily a detractor in my book. I was really hoping these would be somewhat like a regular wrap, but these are so far off. Overall I wouldn't recommend them.

I used it with rice, canned tuna, and flavored nori snacks with a bit of cream cheese to make sushi type rolls. It's not true sushi but I loved it. The issue is I don't know how else to use the wraps. If the get a bit moist they can get weak and your fingers break it. They smell amazing and have a slight sweetness to them. A little pricey but they are really good even if this is all I ever use them for.

Here are the pros… for someone who seems to be intolerant of all the usual gluten free wrap ingredients, I was so surprised to hear about this one to try it. So if on an ultra strict whole 30 diet like me (with additional restrictions) it’s worth a try. They’re Packed and labelled well, and didn’t crack when rolled. The taste was actually very subtle toasted flavor AFTER adding my ingredients. My food was easy to eat handheld and could see me making some grab and go wraps for eating on the go. I like that it adds some calories and fat to my very limited diet. The cons…. Initial taste without anything on it is beyond toast leaning towards burnt. With ingredients this seemed to fade away as I mentioned above. It’s just a tad too small. I had left over turkey salad in my bowl so couldn’t fit the whole bit on there and it was less than 1/2 cup of mix so that defeats the female adult sized meal grab and go. Still need a container to eat the left over portion anyway. These would be better at least an inch to 1.5 in both directions. For this price and cons, not sure I’d buy it again. It was good but not quite great to keep an ongoing stock. Wrap shown is turkey, dried cranberries, hemp seeds, pine nuts, kale seasoned with thyme, sage, salt, pepper with whole 30 mayo for a recipe idea

So very happy with these, the softly sweet natural coconut is so lovely. I spread coconut yogurt over it, sliced bananas, honey or real maple syrup drizzle, with fresh or frozen fruit. If fruit is frozen I add chia seeds and mash up with fruit to healthily absorb the juices. It’s amazing.. Can’t wait to get creative! Pumpkin & splice concoction might be next..

I love these...they are a bit on the sweet side when eaten raw but also can be carefully cooked (they can burn easily) which diminishes some of the sweetness.

I would probably give these one star but my use case/test is just one singular thing, but I won't be trying them again (at least this size). My use case was to replace tortillas. My test was making a breakfast burrito, which I do most weekends. Just one egg, slice of cheddar, 2 little sausage patties and some spicy chili sauce wrapped up. The consistency is a little weird, exactly like Fruit Roll-Ups I ate when I was a kid. Pros: - They are low carb, in an absolute sense, but not really, relative to other (cheaper) options. - Kudos for trying something different. Cons: - One can get larger tortillas for the same or slightly more carbs, resulting in fewer carbs-per-inch and allowing for more food inside the wrap. I had to use two wraps to contain the same amount of guts for my breakfast, so I effectively had almost twice the carbs for the same breakfast. - Fragile. One ripped as I was trying to take them out of the package. - Dumbest packaging ever. The wraps are separated by parchment paper-like sheets. However, it's just one long sheet that's folded (Z-shaped, like a road map), and the wraps are in between the folds. To remove one sheet, you have to find the right fold and reach in and grab an edge and pull. They stick, to the parchment, which makes this a perilous endeavor. I ended up taking them all out. Since I had to use two, and ate some of one to taste it on its own, I just threw everything out after one meal. - Too small. I wish there was a larger size available but I haven't been able to find one. - They do melt. This wasn't a problem for me since I ate it fairly quickly, but it was already starting to on the bottom after about a minute (with half a fried egg on it). - Relatively expensive as a tortilla replacement. - Seems like a large amount of saturated fat in each wrap. - Weird taste for my purpose but that's too subjective to matter really. On its own, it's almost flavorless to me.

The wraps were great! I enjoyed the taste however, they are very delicate so you can’t put too much food in the wrap or it just falls apart. I think they are expensive.. However, I understand that you pay more for better quality food!

When I opened the box I could not detach the cover paper from the wraps. Imagine a strong sticker on a glass and trying to peel it off and it gets torn and it does not come off completely. I even checked the expiry date just in case and it was fine. This product has no return policy so I contacted the seller to see how they would solve this for me, but no answer. I'm so frustrated, without a product, wasted time and lost ALL my Money. Finally no feedback from seller...

Even my garbage can was offended when I threw these away. I should have looked at the country they were made in first (philippines). I'm not sure why I assumed they would be made in Canada or the US. They look and taste like they were made in some back alley sweatshop. Gross!
