I bought this to use with my grow bulbs in spaces I can't put another type lamp. The price is right and it clips and bends to just the right angle for my overwintering plants indoors. The shade is durable and the flexible lamp neck maintains whatever shape you bend it to. The clamp also holds quite firmly. Worth the price!

Purchased 12-2018After a year, overall, I'm pleased. 4 stars rather than 5 because of the two I purchased, one clip spontaneously snapped apart. The day received, I clipped in place and have not moved them. Sitting in another room, about five months ago, I heard something snap and fall. Walked into the room and found the lamp hanging off the side of the flower pot while part of the clip was on the ground about 4' away.Considered buying a new clip but they are about the same price I paid for the entire lamp. My husband fixed it using a clamp he had ... Not ideal as it's kind of ugly but it works.I purchased these along with grow bulbs rather than "grow lights" because*Much less expensive but serves same purpose*Couldn't find a "style" of grow lights I liked*Couldn't find "grow lights" that worked in area - x distance apart, x height, not hanging etc.

Awesome 😊! I mean not the world's greatest light out there ; but it's pretty dang good for what it's for! Looks nice. Takes whatever kinda bulb u want (in its size {the usual, normal one} of course 💡), I have a "bug bulb" in mine...as I have mine clipped it on my back porch - it holds up to the elements too (at least it has so far 😕). The clip is good; not too loose, not too tight. No thing's broken. I like it 😁!!! Hope y'all like it too!

This product uses a 40 W bulb but this lamp gets so hot that it has warped the plastic, 3 days into our kids using them. I feel that they are not safe for my children's use in their room.

I think this is the only clamp lamp I've found so far that clamps firmly to a 2x4. Great in the garage or laundry room for that reason. Also the top is nice and opaque, which is good for focusing light toward the subject.HINT:If you use a high-efficiency bulb, then you don't need the vent holes at the back and can put black electrical tape over them to focus the light even more.

Unfortunatley, I had to return this lamp because it could not hold the angle I needed. However, as a desk lamp to be held in the normal position, this would work well.

The other reviews aren't wrong. The black plastic shade came dull and scuffed. The switch at the top feels very fragile, and the clip doesn't seem to be well made either.But with all that said, overall it looks good. I've removed the clip, bypassed the switch completely and it's now mounted to a base-plate and is hard-wired to my wall and makes a nice mid-century wall sconce. The shade even looks great after buffing the plastic with Plexus too.To sum up: it's low quality, but worked great for me.

Wonderful, inexpensive and stylish light! I was looking for a light for a special product and was worried the clamp would be too flimsy or small. This is working perfectly! Very stylish as well!

The lightbulbs has melted the shade a bit; clearly not meant for long term uses, which is balls.Aside from that, it's fine.

i was using it . an i left room for ten minute when i came back the black outer shell was melting an distorted. definitely a fire hazard
