Talk about an all nighter
If you start this before bed, like I did, you’re going to need several doses of caffeine to make it through the next day. This is a slow burn filled with drama, suspense and a lovely ending. I’m a huge fan of books like these where sex scenes take place much later on rather than right away. I think it gives the reader a chance to get to like seeing the couple together and perhaps root for their happy ending.I loved and loathe Stefan. He was the perfect mix of mean, scary, and protective with a dose of honor. As per usual in books like this, the heroine (Gabriella) was at times annoying and being that she was young, a bit childish. There were times when I liked her and then times when I wanted to knock some sense into her. What I didn’t like was how Gabriella never gives Stefan the chance to explains things. She just yells and fights exhausting them both, until Stefan walks away or something worse happens. It’s almost as if she enjoys his threats. The Clara situation was just a big no no, and I felt there wasn’t a thorough explanation of who she was to them. This book is far from perfect. There were a handful of things I would have liked to change, her age being one, and another being how cruel Stefan could be. But it is a mafia style romance, cruelty was a given.

Amazing read!
I loved the story! Couldn’t put it down! Wish they had come together sooner and the misunderstandings cleared, but still a great story and the ending was crazy and yet happy!

Love this book!!
I have read so many of her books, and loved them all, but this one had me on the edge of my seat! I’m not someone that give feedback on books I read, but I couldn’t help telling others about this book. I literally couldn’t put it down until the last page!!

Good
This is a very exciting book. Plenty of action and drama. It is emotion filled and so realistic. I feel Gabriela is easy to be disliked. She just turned 18 and is so immature it really spoils the story. I feel I would have enjoyed it more if she was not a brat 100% of the time. Other than that I really liked the book.Reasons I enjoyed this book:Action-packedHauntingPage-turnerScarySteamyTear-jerkerTragicTwistedUnpredictable

Such a good mafia romance duet!
I bought both books in this duet. Here are my reviews for each book:CollateralNatasha Knight...where do I start? She’s an amazing writer who creates such distinct worlds and characters that the reader gets completely drawn in and absorbed in the story. This is typical of her writing abilities. And she holds true to form in this first part of a duet, named Collateral. This is the story of Gabriela and Stefan, two people thrown together through an arranged mafia marriage. Gabriela is only 18 and that is clearly illustrated in this book. She’s young and naive and honestly a bit of an immature hot head. Stefan has been somewhat patient, knowing she never wanted this marriage, but I wonder if his patience will come to an end after that cliff hanger conclusion to book one. Now, I have to wait until book two to get my answer.I have a small number of authors who top my go-to list for books, and Natasha Knight is most definitely one of those authors. I can’t think of one book she’s written that I didn’t appreciate in more ways than one. I loved this book and so will you. Don’t miss out.Damage:I’m such a fan of Natasha Knight, have been for a while now. This conclusion to her arranged mafia marriage duet is a further testament to her wonderful story telling. Natasha’s characters are so engaging, so real to the reader, that we find ourselves drawn into the story, unable to look away until we find out what happens. And, in her usual talented way, she takes us on an intricate journey through a world of peril, deception, betrayal, love and triumph. I just love her stories.Stefan and Gabi, such a rough beginning with a lot of obstacles to be overcome. I found myself anxious for their welfare, upset at their actions, and then relieved by them yet again. And, like all of her other books, the secondary characters could be given a book of their own. That’s how effective her writing can be.Damage is the follow up to Collateral. It is an incredibly well and tightly written story. I’ve said before that I have a small list of my go-to authors and Natasha is on that list. I highly recommend any book written by her adept hand.
