Furniture Clinic Wood Varnish, Polyurethane Waterproof Coating, Satin

Easy to use really great finish!

My townhouse is 36 years old I’ve been here 30. The banister leading to the second floor loft had suffered from hand traffic and cat scratching. I’ve wiped it down before but it needed a good scrubbing down. I’d also used furniture polish that also built up. It’s stained oak with polyurethane coat. After the cleaning some of finish came off with the dirt and oils. I went over it with wood stain which brought an even color back. But I did not want to breathe in a strong polyurethane topcoat. I bought this Furniture Clinic product and it’s odorless. I went over the banister with a synthetic cloth/no dust or fabric loss and the finish adhered beautifully. I noticed the front of the bottle states its polyurethane, but it is not the original polyurethane that has a strong odor so evidently polyurethane had been modified over the years. I’m a girly girl that knows how to do things and also couldn’t help but notice…….THIS CARRIES THE GOOD HOUSEKEEPING SEAL! If you don’t know what that is ask your mom, wife or Google it. It’s the literal OG of consumer assurance of testing and competency. It dries fast so I’ll let the first coat cure then go back over it in a few days but this is a good product.

Product worked well for my application.

I used this to finish a repurposed beat up wooden console table. Good value for the money. It went on well. The shine was just enough to look polished. It dried fast and had a slight odor. Will order from this company again.

The drying time was faster than the norm; I was very impressed. It is very easy to use, Great quality, and the price is much lower than other sellers. The serice Amazon offers is excellent.

Don’t waste your time. As a woodworker of 40 years, I know how to prep and prepare my projects for finishing. I’m always looking for a decent wipe on/off product so I thought I’d give this one a try. I applied this to pine that was treated with a pre-stain, then a Minwax stain. Let that dry almost a week in my shop that has a dehumidifier. I followed the instructions on the bottle and after the recommended coats, I couldn’t tell the difference between using it or not. Don’t waste your money.

Super easy to apply and quick drying time. I applied this varnish to a southern yellow pine guitar body that I used a water-based leather dye on. Looks great!

Does what it says quick drying, low odour. Very easy to apply & you don't need much as it goes a long way. Ideal to use with the wood stain which I also purchased. Both items excellent value & easy to apply. Highly recommended.

This stain gets 5 stars. I’ve used a few different colours and been happy with all. It’s easy to brush on and leaves the wood colour even. What I like is after it’s dried,( which takes a short time) the finish is excellent. Needs two or maybe three coats to achieve the full depth of colour but it’s a beautiful finish. A satin finish that’s worn very well on both a Table and Dressing table top.
