Great item; does exactly what it is supposed to do.Easy to screw into the lawn ( remember to water the ground so it's not too hard) with the supplied tool.

This is by far the best and easiest to install of all the garden spikes I have purchased over the years.Very sturdy, goes deeper than any others and the locking spring effect holding the pole helps prevent ground movement

Just what we wanted! The screw fitting makes it very easy to position even in firm ground. We did find that when flying a flag a 1 metre-ish length of scaffolding pole around the actual flagpole (we have a telescopic fibreglass pole) gave more stability in high winds, as the housing cup is relatively short, but this is a well made item and we would definitely recommend it.

As suggested by others I ensured the ground was wet with several buckets of water and it was easy to get into the ground, and holds my 4 arm rotary dryer well. Can’t fault it. Arrived quickly with all parts enclosed.

I had to soak the ground with water but once I'd done that the screw action and the torque bar supplied made it easy to install.I got mine fairly level and the fasteners that secure the rotary washing line in place allow further adjustment to get the line straight.

Can’t review on this product as not used as wasn’t suitable for what we needed it for, hence the return, value for money though but BE very careful when buying from Garden Mile, any issues if you want to return, you have to return at your own cost, this is in the terms of conditions but not stated at point of ordering! I won’t be purchasing from Garden Mile again and unfortunately wouldn’t recommend!

I have bought a couple of theses in the last few weeks, all of which bent on the first install, either at the shaft or on screw section. Certainly not heavy duty!However, This one went in perfectly 1st time and you can feel the difference in quality.Plus, the whole at the bottom of the screw and figment rings at the top prevent water buildup which is what caused my last one to completely disintegrate with rust.Highly recommended!

This would probably be easy to screw into sand or very soft soil. It took time and effort to dig a hole in very hard ground to get the spike deep enough. I couldn’t just screw it in. But, once ‘planted’ it is very sturdy and holds a large parasol.
